My new wheels came in, and they were supposed to come with centering rings, but weren't in the pkg...guess I'll have call em up. Question is, how many of you use the centering rings on your aftermarket wheels? If no, do you get any vibrations from it. My new wheels have a center bore of 110, and if I'm not mistaken the hub is 108, or 108.6, right?

Interesting because I just got my wheels a couple months ago ordered lug centric because that what my truck calls for, they accidentally sent the hub centric and they did not fit over the hub because they were the hub centric version, they had to be sent back for the lug centric version that were correct.Just my story

They were probably hub centric, but the wrong hub size. No worries, I found a place that I can order some from in Vancouver. Mine will be a 106mm to 110mm adaptor.

Yes our trucks are Hub Centric. The reason you would need rings if you have a lug centric wheel would to prevent the studs prematurely wearing. When you have the ring, or OEM wheel, the pressure to keep the wheel centered is all on the ring and it also doesn't allow any type of movement. When you run lug centric, the wheel is no longer kept in place by the ring, but the studs themselves. This can cause severe stress/wear where the rim surrounds the stud. Not a huge issue if you replace your studs when a technician recommends, but for a couple of bucks you would spend now would save thirty to forty down the road... and more frequently.

Indeed... I'm not sure what to get though, the plastic, or aluminum ones?! I read they the aluminum ones can sieze on to your hub. Almost every site I go to recommends the plastic ones, but plastic doesn't sound very strong, or am I just crazy?!

I work at a tire shop.. we stock plastic ones, but I haven't noticed an issue with either. The only reason they would seize would be because of rust build up. Whenever the wheel is off the shop you go to should be brushing the hubs and would brush the ring as well. So as long as they do that I say go with whatever your more comfortable with. I personally would go with the aluminum as well. No real reason proof behind it I just agree that plastic sounds sketchy hah. Best of luck to ya
