Just a bunch of old crap
I installed hubcentric rings last year, as a last-ditch effort to remove some vibes I had that were definitely front-end related. They seemed to work for a couple days and then I was back to having the vibe again. I have cheap aftermarket MB wheels.

Want to know my solution? I took my truck to a different Firestone (yes, I know... here comes the shitstorm...) than I usually went to, and the guy there was a Toyota fiend. He dialed my alignment in so well that my vibe issues were immediately and permanently gone. This was even after I removed the rings because I accidentally broke one on a second install (rim crushed it against the hub) and I didn't want to have one wheel be different than the others. For $17 on Amazon, I had no issues throwing them in the trash.

Find an alignment shop that has a Toyota nerd in it. The real pros know how touchy Toyota trucks are and can do it right. I took it to the Firestone on Scottsdale/Thunderbird, FYI. If I look through my paperwork, I can probably get the name of the tech that did the alignment, pending he's still working there.

would these work with lug centric wheel spacers?

No these will not work since there is nothing to center the hub ring on with a wheel spacer when it is lug centric, it if was hub centric spacer and wheel with a larger hub bore it would work since there is a lip to center on.

Had lots of aftermarket rims over the years. One set came with hub centring rings, and they were perfect out of the gate.
Always re torqued wheels when I got em home. About 1/2 torque in the air in an alternating pattern. Final torque on ground, but not all the weight on the wheel yet. Have had great results doing that too.

They are great insurance, but do re torque your own unless the installer uses a torque wrench.

Have also had 3 out of round tires from new tire purchases over the years. Balancing and other techniques didn't solve those. Only replacement tires.

Also had bent rims l.. Specifically this truck as delivered from the dealer.

Lots of factors to consider in smooth running wheels.

This has nothing to do with alignment, this has to do with centering the wheel on the hub better....

But for my use i'd like info on that firestone for future use!

I've been having an issue with the shakes. My truck has the Tx edition wheels also. Dealer spent 5 hours this morning correcting the problem. I doubt the repair will last. Has anyone determined the Hub bore on the TX Ed wheel ? I'd like to give the rings a shot if my shakes return.

I have the same problem, even with new tires installed. I've test driven other Texas Editions while trying to get the issue fixed at the dealer. Seems like they all do it. If they get a really good balance, it's not too bad but it always seems to be there. Let me know if you try these and how it works out.

    None as of now.
Well I ordered the 106mm x 108mm. Tried those they didn't work. Got the same wheels as you Moose. Noticed there was still a gap. Ordered the 106mm x 110mm that got rid of the gap. Tried them, helped a little but still have the vibes.

A guy i worked with snapped his lugs off hauling some stuff because he had aftermarket rims that were lug centric.

This raises a question for me. If the wheels are running out from the hub because the stud holes are not concentric to the hub and you use those rings to correct the problem how can you bolt the now out of concentricity lug pattern without egging the wheel? If the stud holes are not concentric to the hub the only fix is new wheels.

Bought these off EBay, even called Procomp to verify the bore of my wheels. They slipped on the hub of my Tacoma perfectly, but they wouldn't easily get on my wheels. I could force them and they would bend a bit and get into position, but then getting the wheels on the truck seemed "not quite right" so I said screw them, $30 down the drain.

Hmmm sure you got the right size rings? I had no issues fitting them on
They were snug.. but.. they're supposed to be snug.

Yeah right size and yes they were snug, but when I got the wheel actually up on the hub, I wasn't convinced that tightening the lug nuts would do anything other than crush the plastic spacer while my wheel was getting tightened down, if that makes sense.

I am having the same issues. To start out I had a tire out of round and had a pretty bad shake from about 48 to 57 mph. I decided to bite the bullet and buy a new set of tires thinking it would fix the issue but it was the same result still the shake at the same speed. I took it back and they road force balanced them and it helped but didn't cure it. I'm thinking I might invest in a set of the hub centric rings and the gorilla lug nuts and see what happens. The tires are the same as what I had before BFG A/T 315/75/16 not sure if it would have been better to have dropped down a size or not.

I do have a question about the rings, will the rings work with center caps?

Yes they will. They wont interfere with the wheels in any way as they are on the backside in the hub bore.

Ok sounds great! I'm going to give those and the longer lug nuts a try, I sure hope they work.
