Hub-Centric vs. Lug-Centric Wheels

As much abuse these Tacos take off-road, and with so many guys changing out their wheels, here's an issue that must be understood and dealt with before making any change from stock to aftermarket wheels. More wheel info on this link than you can shake a stick at.

I know this is real old, but this is complete bullshit. The weight and forces on the wheel arn’t supported by the hub ring or lugs. They’re supported by the friction between the wheel and the hub face. The lugs just provide clamp load to increase the friction.

Hub centric just makes it easier to properly install the wheel.
