Rbeezy and Weksos: Thanks for starting this up. It's about time we have a huge Norcal meet. Although I say we should extend this to Socal folks as well. Actually anyone else in the Western US and Canada even.

I think Hollister would be the perfect venue. Area 5 is a HUGE camping area that has flushing restrooms and showers, a stage, BBQ pit, lots of tables and seating areas. Last huge event I was there was with the NorcalFJs and we had about 90+ rigs there with lots more free space left.

Hollister has a lot to offer: There's plenty of trails for 2wd trucks, more difficult trails for 4wds, 2 obstacle courses, rock gardens, mud pit, truck hill, five fingers, a rock quarry and more. Downtown Hollister is about 8 miles for needed supplies or spare parts! haha

If you need help with planning let me know. Thanks again for starting this meet. Oh and BTW make sure not to schedule it January 14-16 cuz that's the Socal Superstition Mountain meet. Also when planning I sure hope it doesn't coincide with the TW Moab trip...but I think that's planned for May.

And if out of towners are interested in coming you should! You can also visit Monterey, Carmel, San Francisco so it won't just be a straight up camping/wheeling event.

edit: After reading what I typed I just made the assumption it will be a camping/wheeling meet. Although I hope it will be.

hey no problem w3tw0rks. ya i've always attended "meet and greets" for every vehicle i've owned... TBSS, Yukon, and now my Tacoma (which i havent been to a meet or seen one in the works, yet lol). the meets are fun and a great way to meet new people and take lots of fliccs.

ya if you guys would like, camping can go on the agenda but i dont think id be up for it cuz my gf is not the camping type so im pretty sure she wouldnt go. and she prolly wouldnt want me to take my son so id have to head back the same day. soooo w3tw0rks, if youd like, can setup the camping part and see who'd like to go for that....

in the meantime right now im just getting a feeler of whos down to go, where the function will be held, and when... so far its a good turnout! and so far it looks like its going to be in the Hollister Hills, maybe around March or April 2011. AND EVERYBODY FROM ALL OVER THE NATION IS WELCOME TO COME!!

Thanks for the input on how Hollister is. people like myself havent been there and dont know how the off-roading is like, so some that arent 4wd might have been discouraged to go, but at least we all know its 2wd friendly... so now we all can go!!!

You might want to add Prerunner friendly to avoid that question.
