Sorry to hear that man. Best of luck to her to find a job. I hope we can get some other folks in the Sac area to go.

    Will do.

^^^Sounds good Galen. Don't forget your gloves too. Are you pretty familiar with the area? It's been years since I've been up there.

It would be great if we can get more folks out to this. Take a look at my 3rd post for more info. For the folks that are maybes, let me know if you can still go.

Also for those that are going or if you plan on going. Let me know if you are vegetarian and I'll relay it over to the Pirate thread. Thanks.

Hey do we still plan on doing this if it rains. I just looked at the forecast and it is a 60% chance of rain on Saturday. It rained like hell here Sunday and Monday. So It can be a mess up there in the rain.

Looks like they're still on for the cleanup, rain or shine. Weather.com says Friday night 40% showers and Saturday 30% showers in the area. Hopefully it shouldn't be too bad, I only got A/T's!

Galen - Let's caravan up to the campground. I'm planning to fill up at the Chevron off the 101, West Lake Mendocino Dr. exit. Unless there is a closer gas station to where your at.

Kevin - Can you still go? You can either meet us up in the Redwood Valley area and hitch a ride with one of us or I can pick you up in Santa Rosa.

Maybes - Let me know if you still plan on going so we can just all caravan up there.

Sounds good man! Hope you can come out!

I plan to be at the gas station at 10am. I'm sure 1 hour is more than enough from Redwood Valley area to Oak Flats campground, right?

Hey Alvin, There is 2 ways we can go. I ususally go thru upper lake up thru Elk Mtn cause of the rough road if you go thru potter valley way. It puts you in the same place and its about the same distance. Both ways are just as windy. , But going thru upper lake there is more pavement which is better for trailers.
It is about an 1-1/2 up there to the camp grounds either way. And if we go thru upper Lake there is a gas station there which will be closer for fill up and a store for snacks. Its about 15 to 20 minutes off Hwy 20 past Redwood Valley.
Let me know if this works for everyone.

They plan to end around 4pm. But if you need to leave early that'll be fine. Thanks for helping out!

I'm cool with the Elk Mtn (paved road). Are you talking about the gas station that's on the Lake Pillsbury campground? I'll have to fill up either in Santa Rosa or Ukiah tho, don't wanna run on fumes when I'm up in the hills. Then I'll top off again at the gas station you talking about.

I'll leave SJ 630ish and will get to Redwood Valley around 930a. Where do you recommend to meet up?

Hey Alvin there is a gas station at upper lake right off Hwy 20. It is about 15 minutes from Redwood Valley. So if you have about a 1/4 tank you can make it to there no problem. If less then fill up at the Chevron at Lake Mendo turn off. I can meet you off Hwy 20 just after the bridge heading East. I will be sitting off the side of the road at a big pull out. I live out at Redwood Valley.
