Yes the H3 is a Colorado with a new body and jacked up price...I would actually take one of them over the H2 though but I would not buy either one of them but if I had to choose it would be the H3.

The LQ9 along with all of GM's Gen III and Gen IV Motors are amazing. I have two, one I swapped in my 93 Mazda Rx7 (LS1) and put a cam in it, made 425hp410tq at the wheels, the other one is an LM7 in my Yukon. Both have been dead reliable. Now, GM's interior build quality leaves a bit to be desired, but I've seen worse.

Likely something was dicked with or neglected to cause it to fail at that time. Regardless those motors are EASY to rebuild if you need to. You can walk into any parts store and buy a rebuild kit (No, not ORDER one, I mean buy it and walk out of the store with it), pull the motor, hone the block yourself and have it back in the truck in a weekend if you're even half mechanically inclined.

Yes bc a Tahoe and H2 is the same thing ......They aren't on the same chassis or even the same motor!

I have driven a Camaro so I can say that Corvettes are so much better then any other sports cars.....pretty much the same comparison that is being made here.

HAHA just a fun debate that's all! Do I think the tacoma is the best vehicle ever? not at all but do I believe in terms of quality, reliability and what your getting for your money that the tacoma is better then a Hummer....YES!

People buy Hummers for one reason....bc it says Hummer on it! How many people are serious off roaders that buy them? not many....keep in mind I am not talking about the H1...its a whole different animal...but this is all for fun and just stirring up a fun debate.

Im surprised the damn motor lasted to 175K. I guess that if it was maintained to a tee, then yeah it could make it to 175K. That just what you get when you buy a H2, bad gas mileage, and bad reliability.

I've had two chevys and my dad has always had gmc's they've been great to him, even though i give him shit for it, only car we have had with a huge problem was my damn ford lol, i know everyone on here is about the toyotas but gm's are not bad vehicles, even though we all would rather have our toyotas

I agree I have had 3 chevy's, I like every one of them

    05 Reg Cab Z71
    06 Ext Cab Z71
    08 2500 HD Duramax

I can honestly say all of them were great trucks. But they all started to rattle after having them for a while inside them and that drove me nuts. I got hooked on the Tacoma after driving one of my friends and it amazed me how smooth and how solid they felt driving down the road....I no longer needed the diesel so I jumped on the Toyota bandwagon and don't think I will jump off unless I buy another diesel one day.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Agreed, I remember reading somewhere that there is enough metal in a Hummer to make 4 cars, what a waste.

i should mention that my other vehicle is a suburban, which i love, but my wife drives that mostly, it's the kid hauler. i would be bummed if i got less than 200K out of that vehicle.

i really didn't start this thread as a "hummer vs. taco" thread. just an observation that one H2 made it to only 175K and that it died while i was driving it. that, and i expect a Taco to go alot longer than that, if asked.

    carry on. :argue:

mine were always good to me, drove well, but i got rid of both at 90,000 miles (both were single cabs) and had my ford 250 to tow with also but that engine was a pos so many problems, and i had a rental one day that was a new tacoma and i fell in love lol

I'll be honest I stopped working at a dealership in around 08 and haven't really kept up with any of the GM products since then...so I really didn't know they had the 6.0 in the Tahoe's now. I don't even remember them having them back then...I thought they were all 5.3s. I know you could get a 2500 suburban with the 6.0 back then but never seen a tahoe with one. So I am a little bit out of the loop. I wouldn't compare a tahoe to a H2 though....your tahoe is allot better vehicle in my opinion.
