Humming from wheel well after ECGS bushing install

Last summer installed an ECGS clamshell bushing due to vibes after an OME lift. Solved the problem. Fast forward 4-6 month later and now I have a humming noise coming from driver side wheel well area only in 4 high. Mostly only hear it when driving btw 25-35 mph and most noticeable on acceleration. Followed all instructions/ torque specs when I did the ECGs install.

Thoughts on this?

 

The CV is always turning, even in 2WD.
If it only happens in 4WD, I wouldn’t expect it to be the bushing.
You have 2 options, pull the CV and inspect the bushing.
Or drain the front differential fluid and look for metallic particles in the fluid.

Before I did any of that, I would check the fluid level.
It’s really easy to do. I had to add about 1/5 of a quart after I did my bushing.
I drove it a couple weeks and checked, topped it off and it’s been good since.

(Well…..kind of. But that’s a different story.)

 

Get it up on stands, spin the wheels up to speed and listen with a stethoscope
