I have had mt taco for three weeks now and am very pleased, ( much better primary ride than the Jeep I had). I changed the oil to Mobil 1 syn. 1st day, replaced the plugs had dealer change trans fluid the next week. But ever since I got it I hear a humming noise that seems to come from the engine compartment like a power steering pump low on fluid though it dose not need fluid noir dose it change sound when I turn steering wheel. Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks

Hey, it could be the belt or one of the idler pulleys, check those out, how many miles on it and is it the V6 or 4.

Humming noises I've experienced usually tend to be related to either tires (tread type) or wheel bearings starting to go bad. Front bearings are a common issue with the 2nd gen tacomas. Most people have replaced at least 1 front bearing by 100k or so.

2010 model, 61,000 miles, V-6. Wouldn't be tires or wheel bearings as it makes noise standing still.

Mine has a humming noise every few seconds when the truck is cold. Not too sure what it could be...I have a 2013 V6 4.0
