Hey, hope you guys can help me out. I’ve got a 13 Tacoma that has a loud humming noise coming from what sounds like the front passenger side. It starts around 20mph and just gets louder from there. Also when I turn to the right when I’m driving it seems to go away. I’m thinking wheel bearing but I just had it jacked up, spun the tires, and checked for play. There doesn’t seem to be anything to abnormal. If anyone has any ideas I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m sorry if I missed a post on this issue I don’t mean to beat a dead horse

I know you said it sounds like the passenger side, but check the spindle bearing on the driver's side. Grab the axle shaft near the differential and see how much play you have. They tend to go bad prematurely. East Coast Gear Supply makes a bushing to replace it. Also, check if the noise is the same in 2wd and 4wd.

Mine started this very thing about two weeks ago at speeds between 20-40 then goes away above that, sounds like passenger side but turning the wheel either way it really doesnt go away. It also only does it about every three or 4 days, not every time i drive it. I did the whole jack up, shake wheels, rotate and all that and nothing seems out of order. Will check axle shaft play.

Just checked the 4wd, it doesn’t change the noise at all. It’s a little to wet out for me right now to check the axle but I’ll do that tomorrow
