Sorry to start another vibration thread. Im a new owner of a 2010 Taco SR5 V6. Had it for about a month. Truck has a 3" lift. Coil spacers in front and extra leaf in the rear. Has the bilstein shocks (i believe - yellow with the blue covers)

Ive been experiencing vibrations/humming from the front end at about 35-40 mph. It can be felt through the pedals and floor. It seems to completely dissapear after running for 5-10 mins. I had the tires balanced 2 weeks prior to feeling it. Took it back in for an alignment after this problem started and it didnt fix anything.

Seeing how it feels more like a fron end issue, would there be any chance that a carrier bearing drop kit could solve this? Im worried more about the fron diff. bearing. Havent had the chance to try 4hi to see if the issue disappears.

Carrier issue? Front end bearing issue? If a diff bearing and i have the front diff replaced, will this become a lifelong issue with this lift?

    Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks guys. I'll see what happens when flipping to 4hi.

Problem is, i dont have a lot of time once driving it to feel it out. It tends to go away after driving a short distance. I did read through the front vibes thread. Didnt notice any posts about this going away after driving for 10 or so mins.

So it seems it does go away for the most part in 4hi. Guess im looking at front diff bearing?

I bought this truck less than a month ago. Still under warranty from Toyota till 2015 for powertrain.

How should I proceed? Will my lift cause this issue down the road even if I happen to have a new front differential installed? Or could this have been caused by binding up the drive train (4wd on pavement etc) or just hard wheeling? Any chance its anything else? It does go away after driving even in 2wd for 10 mins.

Gotta say.. pretty pissed off with this truck right now. I cant afford a 100$ bill everytime I go to Toyota to have them say its normal or they didn't really notice anything.

Would the ecgs kit possibly fix the issue, or should I be pushing for a new dif then installing the ecgs kit?

I had the same problem with my truck with a similar lift. I have owned it since new so I know that after the 3 inch lift install I noticed the hum/vibration. I added a front diff drop kit but it didn't seem to help it any. When I took it in for an oil change I had Toyota check it out. They greased the drive shaft really well and it stopped. That was about 8000 miles ago and I haven't had a problem since.
