So when I got home from work tonight, I unloaded groceries then went to park my truck and had a half flat tire. 10 mins later flat....no nail or hole to be found, but a few small rocks in between the bead and rim. Now I doubt the flats from yesterdays whompathon but ...
Guess I will see in the morning at the tire shop...maybe new set of meats.

did you air down before the whompathon? cuz we aired down to around 17psi the night before and thrashed our trucks, but no flat.

 

I think my taco is retiring from off-road terrian. Yesturday I climbed the "wall", and I'm was satisfied for now

 

Nope didn't air down at all, it was rear tire and I was in 2wd the whole time. I was drifting through some turns pretty fast. But still didn't think a small rock would get in the bead like this. Maybe its something else, there are a few new chunks and gashes from yesterday.

Ya leaning to bfg a/ts. Rims are 4.5" bs so if need tires no new 4" bs rims like I was about to pull trigger on. Ahh we shall see.

So let's plan the next one......pick a Saturday, any Saturday....

As always, had a lot of fun yesterday...Thanks Cory and Matt for leading the pack and keeping everyone safe...It was awesome to see that silver taco get pulled out from that trench...It was good to meet some new people...I was so relieved that I didn't get stuck at all this time lol...looking forward to next time...took a few pics but theyre not good quality pics...here's what I have

So if ur retiring it from off-road terrain, and ur not getting some thing else....wut u gonna off-road with, the quad?

 

I was just playing but Im going to let the Taco rest for about a month, while i do all the maintenance . She got 194k

Think Brian got a better shot of ur jump there Matt, but when I do get to some internet connection I will load the pics anyways.

 

So just got the verdict....the rocks in the bead caused the flat! Pretty weird they were even there cuz I didst air down, and it took more than 24hrs to start to leak and 15mins to go completely flat....

Matt, I think you took some didn't you? I remember somebody taking some pictures or vid as we were driving up that steep hill (the one where you make the left turn) on that first trail that we were on and thought it was you. Would be cool to see those whoever took them.
