    Hello everyone,
I dropped this idea in the 661 thread and figured I'd see if I could get some traction starting my own thread. I would like to know if there would be any interest in flooding Hungry Valley in tacos. I figure HV is one of those places that many so Cal tacoma enthusiasts have been too once or twice, so why not see if we can't get a majority of TW Socal to meet up there. No I don't have any dates or times...this is just a general consensus to see if planning something of this nature is even worth it, so let's hear it who would be up for a Hungry Valley run, and what time of the year is the best for you?

Let me know the weekend and if I am free I'll be there. Summer is hard for me as many family commitments. I do get out to lay once in a while though.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    Hm. Sub'd.

You should post this in the Orange County, LA, and IE threads as well.

@quetzal you can't link to a file on your C: drive, brotato. You'll have to upload it somewhere.

Some trailscan be done with a 2wd but if enough people say they want to make this happen I'm thinking of trying to take over an entire camping area have food and drinks and such. You can also bring your quads and dirt bikes it's not 4x4 exclusive

There is plenty of 2WD trails. I do most of the park in 2wd whether in Tacoma or Jeep. The wash can be fun to climb out when you break your own path on the sandy walls.
They do have a newly built large group area that we can look into if enough interest. Other than that it is a first come, first serve park in regards to camping.

I may be making a run up there this weekend for some riding. I can inquire about the group site then.

    Alright TW,
I'm thinking October is looking like a pretty good month. Weather should be nice, I'm thinking October 22nd and 23rd? I figure this should be far enough out that people can make the plans without it being such short notice. Figure for all of us from bakersfield and North can meet up at the Dennys at the bottom of the grapevine at around 7 am have some breakfast and BS, wait for the rest to show up then head out at 9 am.

It's totally 2wd friendly. There are a couple fun climbs where 4x4 is needed. Just watch out for the sheriffs. Got warned about my LEDs being on on gold hill rd (public rd in Hungry valley) and buddy gotta tix for not stopping at a stop sign there

So the deal is that the road you come into HV is a paved "public" road. The sheriff really has nothing more to do than give speeding tix and or other random tix. Don't let that spoil your fun though just be heads up about it. It's hard not to haul ass around there when you are in the middle of nowhere.
