Hey folks... new here and am currently on the hunt for a used Tacoma. Probably a 2012-2015 or so.

My question is for current owners... how are the back seats as far as car seats for the little ones go?

I have an Xterra now and the car seat in the back makes it nearly impossible to sit in the front passenger seat.

Can anyone with little ones give me a rundown on the room inside with a car seat?

No little ones of my own, but one time I brought a couple buddy's along wheeling and one brought his 2 year old. He's probably 6'2" and sat in the passenger seat comfortably and his kid was behind him in his car seat no problem.

You have found the right person to answer your question. I currently have a 2 y/o and a 4 m/o baby that use car seats. My setup is as follows:
Forward facing car seat behind the driver side.
Rear facing car seat in the center.
Passenger side rear for my wife to ride with my girls.

I am 6ft tall and ride very comfortably. I upgraded from a 07 Colorado quad cab due to the car seats not fitting.

When the car seat is rear facing it's a little tight.

Thanks for the help guys. We only have one little and she's still rear facing. I doubt I'll have the baby and a passenger too often, but I'd like the option.

My wife has a 15 Highlander, so that's our roomier ride, but the Xterra is feeling really small.
