I went hunting one time outside of Corry, PA. Friends of my Uncle's. They set me up in a treestand about 30 yards from the edge of corn field, no corn as it was December. Well this buck comes running out of the field right at dawn. Stops about 80 yards from me. I pop it with my A303 right in the neck.
Get in gutted and drag it back to the house. Well the owners of the property start yelling at me. I am all WTF?! Well they named this deer. Apparently Stumpy only had one eye and half a tail. This asshole (me) shot him on his blindside!!! I will have to see if i can find the pic of it!!

That is how predation works in the wild right? The weak and sick gets eaten and the herd gets stronger?

Sounds like you do it the easy way then. That animal is also not willing to nourish you, you’re going to kill it. There’s no right or wrong method to hunt with as long as you’re doing it legally.
