Just stopped for a break....We're setting up the band stage first. Then tents. Good bit of rain here, but no severe storms last night.

Today is "Bambi Walk" here at the club. Bardstown Road in Louisville is home to about a dozen old bars/clubs in the Highland area of town. One is THE BAMBI BAR. (sounds like strip club, but not) They used to host an event years ago where patrons would walk from bar to bar, spending about 30 minutes at each one, enjoying that bar's specialty drink. Also, Bambi Bar had "the Bambi Burger". The night would end at a White Castle at Bardstown Road and Eastern Parkway. Due to insurance liability reasons, the Bambi Walk pretty much died off about 20 years ago.

So....We host a simulated "Bambi Walk" here once a year for our members and their guest's. We set up 8 satellite bars on the golf course, #2 stop selling our version of the Bambi Burger. Each stop has it's own signature drink. The final stop is our pool and resort bar. It turns into a full blown drunk-a-thon by the last stop. It ends at midnight. We bring in about 500 White Castle burgers to sell to those who need food to absorb alcohol at the end of the night. As the older generation (my age) starts to fade away, the younger crowd sort have took over....It went from fun and drinking, to full blown lunacy, and much SHENANIGANS! In the last couple years, we've had to bring in off duty cops to help maintain some degree of sanity.

My crew does band set up, tents, trash detail, and cleans up the aftermath. I'll be here 12 to 14 hours, go home and catch some sleep, then back @ 4AM tomorrow to clean up the mess. Last major club function that I'm a part of for the summer. I should be able to start taking some vacation time after this weekend.

Stop #4 has "Irish Car Bomb's".....My personal favorite intoxicant!

BTW....Rich people still puke all over themselves when they drink WAY too much. Money does NOT preclude you from that indignity.

Hey thanks guys for the tour of RRG (partial tour). It was a great trip with a bunch of great guys! If you all do anything else keep me posted. Always willing to go out and explore (or get stuck), plus I always have my camping gear with me.

Had a good time as well! We may end up back there and running the same trail sooner than later, Chris forgot to GPS the route...
