No tailgate storage boxes for the Tacomas trucks. Guessing will not fit correctly.

The price point is high, but quality does not come cheap.

I just put a new tailgate cover. I like the idea of this tailgate storage, I have a Leer camper top. Nice to have another storage box within easy reach. Carrying straps, tie downs, jumper cables, bungee cords for my tents.

Too bad 2019 & up no storage box on the driver side bed, my son’s 2016 Tacoma has one.

 

My 2nd gen had 2 cubbies and 2 storage boxes. Down to the one on my ‘21.

The boxes are easy to retrofit, but the cost of one from Toyota is ridiculous, even one on the used market is in the $125-200 range.

 

There was a YouTube of a father & son building storage boxes with the lifting fenders both sides and a bumper that side out, with storage boxes, all with being water proof. Mainly full size P/Us

Tacoma composite beds and between the fenders, lots of empty spaces. But cost to make more storage spaces,most likely too costly? Even the Tacoma tailgate storage boxes could have been produced?

I max out on my back seat storage and rear seat floor storage. Even under my front seats is use for storage.
Binoculars, emergency flashing magnet lights, NICO battery jumper, two sledge hammers for pounding fishing rock spikes. One high power dive light.

$600 and that does not include shipping. People are buying them! To be successful in business is to find a need and fill that need. Huracan Fabrications seems to have met that need and found a successful product . Making tailgate storage box for many other trucks too.
