im actually quite worried about hanna...they have it coming in at hilton head and thatll put the northeast quadrant coming thru columbia/rock hill...the last 2 or 3 hurricanes have really only brushed us...last big one was hugo...were overdue for a direct hit...

i know theyve got first responders already on alert on the coast here and gov sanford is leaving the RNC early to come back here

hey Jeff, we will know more around wednesday for sure as to what hanna is gonna do. right now, wbtv is saying that hanna is projected to be a cat 2 hurricane, which wont be too bad, but you can never tell if its gonna gain alotta strength once the remnants of gustav move on and arent holding hanna out in the ocean anymore.

this is very true, and it fubarred everything in its path. gotta definitely keep a close eye on this one for sure. the neighbors tree behind us could come down with the next good wind storm....hope it dont land on our condo!!!

and this may sound dumb as shit....but today at the lake, it was weird. it was hot as hell.....but there were schools of catfish staying close to the bank and eating as much as they could. usually, when its hot, cats are in the deep water. i know it sounds dumb, but im wondering if they can sense that and are eating and preparing to go to deep water in lieu of the storm???

Looks like at the very least we will get hit by some outer stuff from Hannah. To early to tell where its gonna make landfall though. We're getting ready for it here. Even if we just get outer bands, we still got a ton of flooding from Fay, so a lot of rain is exactly what we don't want here.

hugo was awful...i was told it spawned something like 2000 tornados during its march thru sc...

ive heard that animals can sense stuff like that...and will do what they can to prepare...speaking of which...my dog dug a basement under her dog house this weekend...

best case scenario for sc is that it goes above us...if fl gets hit or it hits sc...we still get hit with that nasty northeast quadrant...and if im not mistaken thats where all the trouble is with tornados and such

yeah, tornados were aplenty with hugo. we had 4 or 5 thru our neighborhood at the time, trees and shit was all over the place. our tin building at the end of our trailer at the time..........demolished. we didnt have power for 2 weeks, and it also killed alot of animals too.

yeah my mom took me and my brothers to my grandparents house in rock hill and it was actually worse there than in columbia where my dad was...

my dads storage building ended up going over our fence and across the street and ended up in the neighbors front yard...

we lived out of our camper for like 2 weeks too because we didnt have power...we had to pay out the rear end for gas to run the generator

yeah, i used to think the destruction a storm leaves behind was awesome.....not so much these days. we'll just have to wait and see whats gonna happen when hanna makes the path she decides to go.
