    That's actually not bad considering they had millions of people under hurricane watch. Let's hope they can restore quickly

    Wow, that's some nasty gusts. Really swinging the palms around.

    Scott, keep your head down. You may get the nasty side of this one when it goes into GA. If the storm doesn't turn right away your area will get the bad quadrant.
    Looks like 8am Saturday will expose parts of SC to the NE part of the storm

    Could be wrong though............. what's my statistical margin of error allowance?

    I'm guessing somewhere in the 85-100 MPH range gauging by the trees and surrounding objects....It looks like there was at least 70 MPH sustained winds and some serious sustained gusts...

    I am also basing this off some of the footage I have seen from TV and pictures of the seas this can tell a lot about wind speeds. Just from my days as a USCG Licesed Capt and running charters for 15 years. You get a really good sense of wind speeds on the open water when your life depends on it and you're scared out of your mind.
