Latest update (11:00 EST) from the NWS-NHC has it tracking further to the east once it gets past SC. Looks like NC and VA are in the clear for now, at least for the next 5 days. Good luck to you folks in FL, stay safe!!

My company just closed down it's research facility in Vero Beach for a week. Sounds like it will take the worse of the storm if the predictions are right.

If anyone is evacuating, and is willing to come all the way to VA, I'm far enough west to likely be clear, and have some room...

If that's the case I recommend we bring all of congress, the supreme court and the active POTUS candidates and place them out on the beaches to watch. In lawn chairs.
