Since shift knob options seem so limited for the automatic crowd I thought I'd share my new setup for those that could be interested.

I have an obsession with Hurst T-handle shifters personally so I wanted to find a way to fit one onto my taco - after a bit of research I found the shifter here

The Auto shifter post is threaded M8x1.25 so I needed to adapt it up - I was able to locate this bad boy on Amazon for just a few bucks
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IL2TE2O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

that adapter takes the threads from m8x1.25 to m16x1.5 which is a much more common thread pattern

And whalaa - after two days I'm super satisfied

I have the exact same setup. My only complaint is that it's a cold grip in the winter.

I have one of those thats wrapped in leather because it was allways hot as hell or frozen, I used it on the 5 speed i had before. It looks a little rough but thats what I like about it but none of my adapters will work Im gonna have to check this out to see if I can get an adapter. Thanks for posting this.

I'd rather have it cold, in the summer when you leave out in the sun it gets so hot.

Cool shifter but in Arizona you would only grab it once in the summer. Only once.:censored:

    Lots baby!
Back in the day, Hurst made some of these with a Black Velvet covering. They would keep you hand from the cold in the Winter and from the heat of the Summer.

You see them pop up on ebay from time to time.

Interesting but not very practical; it looks like it's going to hook on everything hovering by: sleeves, cords, etc...

That's the reason why manufacturers stopped using this shifter design post-80s.
