I have the Weathertechs front and rear and have absolutely no complaints. They are great. But now that I have seen the Huskys in person that is what I will buy next time.

I almost went with the Weather-Tech liners again but chose the Husky Weatherbeaters this time in my new 2015 TRD Off-Road Double Cab. So far, I love them, they look and fit great. The genuine all weather (Rubber) Toyota mats were a joke, most notably the driver's side mat. They did not have nearly enough coverage. I think Toyota cut back on the coverage on these mats after the 2010 "Unintended Acceleration" witch-hunt in order to be 'extra careful'. I can't blame them.

I used the Weather-Tech liners in the past in my old '03 Tacoma and my '08 Lexus ES 350. They proved to be very durable, at least in my old '03 Tacoma, because it was my daily driver and I had no wear issues with them. My main gripe with them is that they did not offer complete protection for the left "dead pedal" or the left foot rest. In my Lexus there is no coverage behind the accelerator pedal with the Weather-tech liners. Water and debris from my left shoe would/do make their way down on the back side of the liner and onto the carpet. The Huskys completely cover the "dead pedal" area and extend farther up behind the pedals.

That is the only thing that bothers me about the Weathertechs because that is where my muddy left boot sits. Bad design choice.

And just FYI for those that are considering Weathertechs and were put off by the "doesn't fit manual transmission" Tacos disclaimer, that is only sort of true. The clutch pedal will catch on return with the stock mats but trimming a half an inch with a knife or razor knife completely corrects the problem.

Just got my husky xact contours that I mentioned earlier tonight, I circled the ridge that stops water at the edge by the doorjam. These seem like quality mats, I like the rubber feel to them better then the plastic-like weathertechs

Have had Huskey for most all our cars and recently Weather Tech
They are both excellent products and you can't go wrong with either. We just decided to buy the one now that seems to match the interior best in color And style.

I had the Huskys in my 99 Tacoma but I went with the weather tech in my 2011. Just liked the way they looked. Just my .02 cents.

This is precisely why I got rid of the WT's. All winter long, salty snow melt (nasty white salty water) would drain from that edge down onto the door sill. Husky's solved that!

Husky's do contain water very well and easily dump when you pull them out from the side...the real problem is, BE CAREFUL PUTTING THEM BACK ON TOP OF THE GAS PEDAL which you can easily do in a rush to dump the salty water from the mats.

How well does that mat fit against the transmission tunnel, my Husky's have quite a large gap?

Just got Husky X-act and they fit exactly. Have had a set of the original Huskies that moved from my 94 to my 02 and they have 340 thousand miles on them and are still protecting. Starting to get a little ragged around the edges but not warn through.

I have the weather techs. A buddy of mine has the husky's and if I were buying new I would go Husky. It's just a little bit better. Fitment and design.

I've had 2 sets of weathertechs.
If I get a set to replace the OEM rubber mats. I will go with the Husky.
A- the rubber is better under four than the hard plastic weathertechs.
B- the Husky covers the left foot rest.

I can't compare with the Husky's because I've never seen or owned a set. I do however have the WeatherTechs and have been mostly happy. Between hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing and dirtiest of all, canyoneering, I have really put these mats to the test. Last weekend I had 5 people in my truck in drenched wetsuits and shoes absolutely caked in mud and the WTs did a good job of keeping the floor clean. They do stick out a bit at the edges, but I've seen a really minimal amount of dirt get down there. The edges do overlap the door frame to keep dirt and water out there. I've had standing water in the mats and I was able to carefully lift them out and dump the water without spilling.

Really my only complaint is they don't cover the driver's side foot rest on the left. Some dirt and mud has dripped down behind the mat on that side, but nothing substantial. Still the potential is there. I included a picture of the floor underneath the mat. A little bit of really fine sand has gotten under near the OEM connections. Given the amount of dirt, mud and water that gets tracked in to my truck every weekend, I'm very happy with the protection the WTs have provided.

Poke around in HD and Lowe's in the flooring sections. While they won't be 'mats', you might find a suitable rugged outdoor carpet that would work well.

I was leaning towards Weathertech's but after reading that Husky's were so good I went ahead and bought them. The passenger side mat fits good but the drivers side really does not, the gap at the transmission tunnel is so large I can fit my entire hand in there, the transition of flat area to the raised areas is right under the clutch pedal so when moving off the dead pedal my heel catches. I have only had them in there for maybe 25 miles and regret buying them, if I had it to do over I would go with the Weathertech's, I may just yank these things out and sell them.

I have had WT and Husky xact fit. I prefer the Husky mats for fit and finish.

Can the HUSKY decal be easily removed from the xact contours?
