Had weathertech. Tried husky liner in the Tacoma. So far prefer the husky liner. Must more plyable, less stiff, don’t move around as much and more of a rubber vs hard plastic.

I've been a weathertech person mostly since I prefer the side coverage more than the husky's. the sides go up higher on the weathertech's since I tend to lean my left foot to the side on the dead pedal.

    weather tech's :
    1. side coverage better (main priority for me due to the winter's and slush
    2. dead pedal doesn't go up as far as the husky's
    3. the fitment tends to not be spot on due to the stiffness of the material
    4. passenger side moves due to no latch point

    husky's
    1. more pliable than WT
    2. side coverage lacking compared to WT, especially by the gas pedal center tunnel area
    3. dead pedal has complete coverage
    4. gas pedal coverage better
    5. underside has points to ensure it doesn't move

With the Husky's you don't need the locks. The bottom of the mat grips the carpet and the fit is such that the mats simply don't move at all.

Husky X-Act contor. It has a plastic screw that goes into the carpet & mat snaps on it & doesn’t move

I got the WeatherBeater, 'cause they don't make the Xact for manual tranny Tacos.

I had Weathertechs in my last vehicle. I really liked them except for they did not go far enough up the floor board, so where I rested my left foot was not on the mat. I ordered Husky weather beaters for my Taco I just bought. I read that they pretty much solve the only issue I had with Weathertechs. They'll be in tomorrow so we'll see.

Can anyone explain the difference between the X-Act and the Weatherbeater? They both look like the are custom fit for each vehicle. Is it just a cosmetic difference?

We have had Huskys in 3 vehicles. If I remember correctly we had the X-act in our Civic. They are softer, more flexible and have a rubber-like texture.
My wife has the weatherbeaters in her Tahoe and we liked those so much it was a no-brainer to get them for the new Taco.
I prefer the weatherbeaters over the x-act because of the higher lip and the ease of cleaning.
I wish I had bought the weatherbeaters for my Wrangler instead of the rugged ridge ones. Very similar, but overall I like the Huskys.
The determining factor initially between weathertech and husky was cost.
