    Hey guys,

I recently picked up 5 Hutchinson beadlock wheels from a neighbor and fellow TW member @Ted Yoder . Not sure what they're going to cost me, maybe just some beer, maybe a skid plate. They were in pretty good shape, only issue was some of the lugs and nuts had rust to the point of pitting and they were all missing the inner beadlock. Looking on the Rock Monster wheels website I was unable to locate a wheel with a matching P/N of WO-1229.
I shot a message off to Hutchinson and got a quick reply with all the associated part numbers for this wheel. They told me to contact "HEM Industries" to order the parts as this was not a Rock Monster wheel and dealers would not be familiar with it.

$750 later and my order of lugs, nuts, seals, and beadlocks are at the factory and in the que.

I want to be prepared to get these together as soon as the parts come in so tonight I powerwashed them and I will take them to work in the next few days to give them a chemical bath.

    Part Number: WO-1229
    Size: 16x8
    Bolt Pattern: 6x5.5
    Rated Load: 2,500lbs
    *Hub Bore: 108mm
    *Back spacing: 4-9/16"

*= My measurements. Still waiting on data from Hutchinson.

These may or may not have come from Africa. I love the utilitarian/military look of these wheels. IMO the Rock Monster wheels are to flashy. I will be wrapping these in Mickey Thompson 315-75R16 Deegans.

Those are sexy, awesome that you'll be the only one running those besides Military rigs and border patrol.

I'm pretty exited. I reqularly run 10 PSI on the beach with my procomp 7089 wheels which is way lower than most people are comfortable with. To think I will be able to go significantly lower than that is pretty awesome.

Ran them through the solvent tank this afternoon to get all the grime off. Took the glue from the stick on balance weights right off.

Now I wait for the parts to come in. Shitty thing is I'll be in the U.K. for a month starting Aug 4th. Looks like this may be on the back burner for a while. IMG_0469.jpg

Got that spec sheet back from Hutchinson this evening.

    Rim Size: 16X8
    Offset: 0
    Bolt Pattern: 6 on 5.5
Hub Bore: 110.3mm ?? Im still showing closer to 108 when I measure. May need to get a hub adapter, we'll see.
    Load Rating: 2625lbs
    Weight: 27.5 lbs
    Material: Aluminum Forged

And it's labled as a Military wheel.

*no backspacing on the spec sheet.

So, I got back from the U.K. and finally got everything put together.

The inner beadlocks are dense, heavy rubber. Was tricky getting the first one in but once you get the technique down it's easy.

    Beadlocks installed
    IMG_0705.jpg

Installed the wheels, with new seals then torqued the bolts down to 100 ft lbs progressively (60-80-100) in a star pattern.

    IMG_0710.jpg

After a week and a half I don't have any leaks!

Thanks. The specifications sheet says 27.5 lbs. Unsure if that figure includes the beadlock rings. Beadlocks are probably 6-8lbs, but I didnt weigh them.

One other note. I purchased 110mm-106mm hub ring adapters to ensure the wheel stays hub centric

no requirement for spacers? Presuming the 0 degree offset makes up for this by pushing the wheel out. Any idea on what the factory offset is on the trd wheels

Wheel/tire combo comes in at 101.5 lbs

Gotta know someone that has access.

I did need to put on 3/4” spacers on. Without them the tire would rub the frame when Turning one way, then the UCA when turning the other way. I’ve also chopped off my cab mounts and relocated them, and trimmed 2” off the fender. Don’t know anything about the TRD wheels, sorry

    Yep!
    @dustin19d
Nice, I've got a set of military Hutchisons I'm redoing now as well. I need to source the rubber beadlock. Did you get yours from HEM?
    TIA

Yeah, let me dig up all the part numbers when I get back to the office for you.
The rubber inserts are pricy, IIRC close to $150 each.

@toyotatrailteam Here are the part numbers for wheel WO-1229

    P/N 80008 Long Stud $ 2.40 ea

    P/N 80009 Short Stud $ 2.10 ea

    P/N 80403 Lock Nut $ 1.99 ea

    P/N BL-0097 Bead Lock $120.00 ea

    P/N 50021 O-ring $ 16.45 ea

These prices are from 2017. Stock up on O-rings, you never know when you will need to break a wheel down and you don't want to have to wait to order a new one in. Hutchinson won't have the bead-lock rings in stock. When they receive your order it will go into the queue and may take a few weeks to be manufactured.

I've had these on for almost two years now and I love them! When you're wheeling with similar rigs running normal wheels it's night and day what you can do VS them. If you don't have OBA get it now.

Email Jim Herndon at HEM Industries for the parts or give him a call for a good conversation about these wheels.
