Hybrid Engine and 6' Bed

I am not currently a Tacoma owner but my son has a 22' TRD Offroad which I really like - aside from a couple thing they seem to have corrected on the new model. So, I am considering taking the plunge on a 2024 TRD Offroad with the hybrid engine once they become available. However, I also really want a 6' bed. When checking the model comparison under the "Specs" section on the Toyota website it only shows a 6' bed/hybrid combo on the Trailhunter. All other hybrids will apparently only be available with a 5' bed. I find it strange that they will make a naturally aspired Offroad or Sport with the 6' bed, but not a hybrid. What's up with that? Is it possible they just haven't included all of the different combos available? The Trailhunter is overkill for my needs and I really don't want to pay for a bunch of extras I don't need, so hopefully there will be other options for the 6' bed/hybrid combo. Any thoughts?

 

The build guides have not been released for the hybrid engine yet. I would guess March if we are lucky, but maybe April. Hopefully the online configurator will be updated around that time as well.

 

Yes, I hope they update with a 6' bed option for the hybrid TRD Offroad when they add the hybrids to the configurator. I was getting my info by the options presented when you are selecting the model while comparing on the Specs page of the website. Still a little suspicious that they show a 6' bed option only with the Trailhunter hybrid and not any of the other hybrids. I guess we'll see later this year...
