Even though I see that this is an old thread someone is trying to revive, I can’t help but enjoy the irony in the statement ‘too cheap’ while paying $40 for a water bottle :)

Honestly, no. But too cheap to buy a cup holder of the most overpriced water bottle imaginable, in a $40k+ truck.... kinda expect to see an old beat up Nissan pickup with a red solo cup Velcroed to the dash with a block of ice in it so you can drink as it thaws cheap :)

Maybe it was a gift, and I just wanted a cheap holder.
Maybe I spent all my money on the cup and couldn’t splurge on a cup holder:rofl:,

I just Cheap out on the small stuff in order to save mod money for the big ones :D

Such a lucky bastard! my mom died and I was left a Mitsubishi Mirage 4 door that my teenage boys got as their first car.

I ended up just buying their seat back panel and mounting it to the back of the passenger front seat. Requires me to reach there to grab it but works well enough and keeps my cup holders free.

Good call on this product. Everyone in my family has a Nalgene bottle leading to a lot of loose bottles rolling around in the cab. Just got a few of these in yesterday and it immediately solved one of my biggest frustrations when we all travel together!

This picture makes me happy. I’m going from a 5th gen 4Runner to a Tacoma and I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that the Tacoma cup holders suck so much. The worst part is that there are 5 of them within reaching distance, but not one of them can hold anything but a 12oz can. The 4Runner has rubber inserts that you can remove. Why that didn’t carry over, I have no idea.

This insert has worked great and we've used them a lot, often times using multiple at a time when out and about w/ the family. My only issue is that, when used in the front, the bottle blocks my access to the phone charger. I'm about to add this mod tomorrow as it looks promising -

Funny that you quoted this post today because I just got the bag for this mod in the mail earlier tonight.

Thanks for linking this, it was exactly what I have been looking for! Something that is easy and not as bulky around the shifter.
