Has anyone tried this "nano" coating easy application spray.

Saw an ad for HydroSilex and it sure looks amazing. Ceramic coating that replaces a clay or proper wax, type thing. Idk. Thinking about getting the $35 bottle just to try it.

Any other good ways to freshen up my paint without doing a full clay bar and waxing? It's too hot in Vegas for anything outdoors right now.

There’s no spray sealant/coating that replaces a clay treatment as they cannot remove any contamination in the paint. You can skip the clay process and spray this after your wash of course but your paint will still be contaminated. I’ve never used this product but it sure sounds a lot like similar products already in the market like CarPro Reload and Sonax Polymer Net Shield.

If you want a quicker way to apply a sealant/coating on your vehicle, I’d go with something like McKee’s 37 Hydro Blue or CarPro Hydro2. You spray it on and hose it off immediately a panel at a time. No buffing required.

Hmm. They do sell a cleaner to use before the spray.. that might get rid of junk. Thanks for the reply. Any advice on actually doing a clay treatment that won't take forever and will be safe in 112° weather?

I've had my truck for 5 years and I've never done a clay bar. I go to a few premium detailers in town on occasion, but I'm thinking it's time for a proper wash, clay bar, wax. Or anything really that will give the paint a little refresh, fill in some micro scratches, etc.

Skimmed a few threads on it at autogeek and autopia. Most of the users seemed to be very underwhelmed by it, enough meh to not even want to try it even if a bottle was free.

Stick to the products like Hyrdo2 and Hydro Blue if you want easy, but with that heat try to use them in the shade or when the sun is not beating down on the vehicle. Or early am or late pm.

These products are one of the most satisfying detail products to use since you see the results instantly when you're spraying them off. Using a blower or compressed air to dry it makes the remaining water nearly leap off the paint and wheels.

Check for sales at autogeek/autopia, usually near the weekend for a 20-25% coupon to make the $80 jug of Hydro Blue more reasonable.

Hydrosilex is similar to Hydro Blue and had same application method. I believe you misreading when it says you don’t have to clay. Supposed to be a solid product from what I have seen from following Detailers Domain.
