    Absolutely love the build!

Just getting started on mine and definitely could use some advice. I want a setup like yours with the bed rack, tent mounting, roof rack and awning.

What roof rack and side awning do you have?

How much suspension lift would you say you're currently getting? I'm throwing on a set of 265/70/17s on some Method 0 Offset wheels and just curious where I'm going to be at running stock suspension. I assume it'll be fine but just looking for a frame of reference since your wheel/tire combo is really close to what I'd be running and I think I spotted some pics in this thread where you had wheels/tires with no lift.

Awesome rig, I'll be probably 2 years behind you but looking at doing a very similar build, but with a GFC. I miss the northeast, your photo taking skills really take me back to my ADK roots.

I really have no idea on the lift. It’s a 2.5 front 2.75 rear but with all the weight idk what it’s really at. I ran 265/70r17’s on my stock suspension for a couple years. Very rarely rubbed but I also pulled my mudflaps off right when I got the truck.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. Suffice it to say I had about $2k to spend and with the upcoming trip to MT to pick up the GFC I opted for new tires and wheels in case I hit storms rather than piecing together suspension. Some day soon.

Looks like you may not have taken that Spring 2020 trip around the country you had planned earlier in the thread. Is that back on your radar at all? You should definitely add some time in Arizona, some amazing trails to be explored out here.

Awesome truck! I have a 2014 magnetic Tacoma and i’m looking to get the chrome off the grill. I saw that you said you purchased one from a Toyota dealer. Do you know if I can do the same if my Tacoma is just an SR5? I know the TRD sport comes with it color matched already, I want to know if that will fit my SR5

    none as yet
It'll fit. The different surrounds were just a way for Toyota to help differentiate the models. The mounting points of both grille surrounds will be the same.

It’s not on the radar currently but it’s still a bucket list trip. Last year was interesting(I think for most people it was) and things definitely changed. This years plans as of right now include a trip up to New Brunswick for some wheeling and camping but who knows if that will happen yet. It was suppose to happen Labor Day weekend last year but the borders kind of prevented that.

It’s been a while since I posted in here. Just added a victron smartshunt to my solar setup yesterday so that I can monitor the battery more accurately.

Went out last night and grabbed a screenshot of the victron app showing the power usage when the solar isn’t charging. The large dips are my Dometic kicking on every half hour and the small 8w negative power is from charging my iPad while logging the graph.

I’m considering the cheap Pro series from alpharex so I can use hids instead of leds. I’d prefer hids for snow driving in the winter but I’m looking for people experience on how those projectors hood up to hids since most halogen projectors don’t like them. If they’re no good then I’ll either go Morimoto or alpharex luxx and deal with snow covering the lights in the winter.

It’s just tough waiting to spend a lot of money on something you hope will be awesome vs spending a little less on lights that look cool, but are known to fail eventually...lol

Swapped out my KC G4 fogs for some DD SS3 Sports. Love the look and the color is perfect.

Spent the weekend prepping for the first trip in almost a year(ugh). Just need to load up Thursday and I’ll be off to Vermont for The Pilgrimage event replacing VOBS.

Spent the weekend in Maine this weekend. I was hoping to retake some sunset pictures up there but the fog canceled that. So I took some foggy pics down on some logging roads.
