@TurnLeft The bulb seals were included in the TRS 2016+ Tacoma specific Morimoto kits. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/2...Toyota+Tacoma&preselect=&preselect_restrict=1

I don't see them specifically called out on the website, but here is the description of the seals from my January 2017 order confirmation email:

    Tacoma-HD Bulb Seals
    2 x Higher-Density H11 Bulb Grommet
    Part Number: SP280

The seals are also referenced in the Morimoto master thread:Morimoto Elite HID System and LED Fogs for your '16+ Tacoma

I installed Morimotos a couple of weeks ago. The lighting, cutoff, coverage and throw are great, but they are very shaky, even in somewhat smooth roads. Has someone tried different bulbs with the Morimoto ballasts and relays? Are the connectors universal? what brand bulb have you installed and where did you buy them? THanks!

I jumped on a set of morimoto 4500k 35w HID set when ebay was running their coupon. Ill probably get it and have it installed in a week. I will post pics if I do and comment if I have any shake.

I have the Xenon Depot Philips 4300K kit and they shake and bounce like crazy. Whats strange is they didn't do this in the beginning and have been in the truck since January. I have tried swapping the factory bulb o-rings over to them which made no difference. Xenon Depot is aware of the problem and is ordering some thicker o-rings for people to try whenever they get in stock. Hopefully it fixes it, i'm going back to the stock halogen until then. I spent about 4 hrs last night driving some back roads and its about the most annoying/distracting thing to see bouncing light in front of you with every little bump you hit.

My Morimoto's from TRS and the heavy duty Tacoma grommets on the bulbs have been bounce free. I have had mine installed since January 2017. The bulbs are super tight in the factory projector housing. I have the 6500k bulbs with 50 W ballests - that may be part of it.

I got it last month. Morimoto changed the plastic links of the bulbs, made them a bit more rigid. Ye, the extension is now part of the package, but not necessarily needed if depending on where you install the ballasts and relays.

Anyone having any long term issues with 50 or 55W bulbs/ballasts? I'll be buying some next month and have always used 35W without issue.

Im also curious about the diff between the 35w and 50w morimoto ballasts. Anyone have shaking issues with the 35w? Seems most people reporting the shake have the 50w.

That shouldnt matter, the bulbs are the same with either kit. The ballasts change but Morimoto supplies both kits with the same 35w bulbs.

Not that i know of, some people are lucky and their 4300k kit doesn't shake. Mine did, so did a decent amount of other members. I switched to Xenon Depot 5000k hids over a week ago. I have zero bounce with them, seems like no does. Spent a good amount of time driving with them at night this past week visiting family in Charlotte.

I have both the TRS morimoto kit and the xenondepot, both shake like crazy. Would consider something else.
