    This is where i was heading with there wattage of the bulbs.

    Do the math, calculate the load you need

    Bingo! You get a gold star. "Fixing" the hyperflash for LED turn signals defeats the hyperflash that's intended to let you know that you have a burned out bulb.

    Sweet! Does than gold star allow me one free post asking what tire size I can install without a lift?

    But that does suck, was hoping there would be a way to tell a little easier besides taking a walk around the truck or being told by an officer.

    On the other hand, a properly built LED light should last pretty much forever.

    10-15 ohms 25 watts at least.

    Ok well I tried three 6ohm resistors from autozone, one on the front switchback, one on each tail lamp bulb and still hyper flash. So I tried replacing the LEDs in the tail lights with incandescent bulbs still with the resistor in the front, still hyper flash. So I said screw it! Aside from it being annoying it doesn’t harm anything so I’ll just let it hyperflash until I figure something out. It would be so much easier if they had a damn relay and not route everything through the BCM.

    What if I get this? It’s 100W 15ohms. Would one of these wired into one of the tail lights fix the complete circuit?

    I love Meso's map lights, an incredibly functional LED upgrade to OEM.

    That said, I don't get the widespread trend on swapping out every OEM bulb in the truck for LED, and in many cases complete head and tail light housings / assemblies. (Frequently, if not usually, with a vastly inferior or at the very least, a suspect replacement)

    I suppose it's simply trendy, but if I was tripping over my bell bottoms, I'd have to consider a straight leg.

    Its like Miliseconds but if you are comparing a halogen in one light and LED in the other and use your hazards, you will see the slight difference.

    ^Totally get that.

    No doubt Toyota has sacrificed light for longevity in the OEM bulbs, but I get it.
    I've got a six year old Camry and just offloaded a RAV4 of the same age, both still running on all the bulbs they were born with.

    Hmmm.
    Had a girlfriend that might have argued that would have made a difference in our sex life, but I'm not so sure about turn signals..

    This goes for the brake lights also. I upgraded to Mesos Total Tails and upgraded the rear turns, brakes and reverse all together so made sense to upgrade the front turns also.

    I like the crisp flash more than anything, but they're also brighter which helps with the bright sun or when someone can't really see your signal in the first place because your headlights are on.

    I guess I don't understand why people are still messing with resistors. I got some CANBUS bulbs from GTR lighting and have wired in 0 resistors and have not had hyperflash. I replaced my front and rear turn signals with them as well as my brake lights.

    THIS.
    Changing out to LEDs in the tail lights for a brighter light is a plus. But the main benefit IMO is the quicker response time. Milliseconds matter and you’ll see how quick the LEDS kick on compared to the stock halogen which “fade” on.

    Op you really need to find out the original wattage of all the lights so you know the load that thev system is looking for.

    To much resistance will net the same result as too little.

    You said you swapped all the bulbs back to stock and it still hyper flashed?

    Maybe you have a bad splice somewhere adding resistance to the system

    Front turn 25W each LED = 6.5W

    Rear turn 25W LED = 3W

    Rear brake 25W LED = 3W

    Reverse 18W LED = 5W

    Total = 93W LED Total = 17.5W

    Difference = 75.5W

    Thoughts?
