I gotta raise the BS flag on 40mpg. Maybe just after filling up and coasting downhill. I'm an expert hyper miler and best I've ever done stock is 27.6 (manually calculated) on a perfect 45 mph run of about 150 miles with just about zero traffic, perfect road, no hills and perfect weather.

You gotta tune, lift, armor up, etc.

    What fuel are you using?

Mine was from a 1.5 hour drive.

There’s an alcoholic vanilla?? Flaming Dr.pepper sure, but this is news to me!
The added weight from sliders and steel bumper is surely what helped me out. A road hog has inertia!

    BS flag - check

…after filling up and coasting downhill… - check

    …1.5 hour drive… check

OK - defendant claims 41.1 mpg after 1.5 hour drive. The trip meter shows 599.4 miles. The speedometer indicates 55 mph. All very believable, if you can trust a photographer who has mastered the Brenizer Method. But can you?

Upon closer examination of Exhibit 1, you will notice no underlying flaws or alterations to the image. What you will notice is a gas gauge that reads not just full… but just filled up!

Prosecution concurs with the complainant: Defendant failed to reset or intentionally skipped resetting his trip meter after filling up. Not just once, but after a second tank of gas. (Hence, the 599.4 mile reading.) Once the vehicle was in gear, the Tank Average Fuel Economy automatically reset. And, at some point, while coasting downhill (at 55 mph), our avid photographer snapped a picture of this mileage enigma.

The full gas gauge further disproves the defendant’s claim of his fictitious 1.5 hour drive.
Jury finds in favor of complainant. Defendant is guilty of BS. :crapstorm:

@Pungo1 is awarded 50 TW bonus points.

Maybe I missed it, how many miles do you have on the truck? I’m curious since you said you’re hypermiling it…

Very eloquently stated, Your Honor. I'm stopping short of asking for a code red, because we don't do that here (well, some on this forum might based on what I've seen around here, but not me). Let's see if everyone can handle the truth. And....the OP would be on the national news and likely fairly wealthy if this were true. Certainly Toyota would be providing support and advertising. Perhaps the scientific community would look into this as well for the energy/physics crap.

It was Friday - had to get my mind off of work. I thought maybe it was a photoshop trick, but then I saw the full tank… after a 1.5 hour drive? Then, you start peeling the onion. Now just waiting for the OP’s jail house confession. :D

    Fair winds, Senior Chief!

    This and that
    Guess it would depend,
    How much you weigh,
How much of a lightweight you are,
How much you want to be burping cupcakes.

    BUSTED!

    - I'd still (say I) believe you if you shared tech specifications AND visual documentation of said passenger princess. I suspect this is a key element to attain these MPG, and must be shared for the benefit of the planet and humanity.
