been waiting all week for a reply from hypertech but nothing yet... see if anybody here knows what to try.

bought 730123 calibrator for 2023 toyota tacoma.
    module software version 03.05.02.08
    configurator software 1.10.5.6
no matter what parameters i put in whether a change in tire size or gps speed it does not affect the speedometer on the truck. with my 35s it reads 10% lower than speedometer speed. something i dont know about or is the unit defective?

Can you find/try the previous firmware rev? I was on 1.10.5.56 when I last used mine and it went through without a hitch.

Just out of curiosity, but are you trying to program the tuner while it is plugged into your truck?

On my 2019 I had to put in that the truck was a 2018. I just went through hell after jumping up from 33’s to 35’s to figure it out. Try putting in that your truck is a 22 and see if that works.

i have a 2023 TRD Sport and when I put 275's on it, I had to put in that my truck was a '22 because '23 wasnt an option then.. My speedo is around 1-2 off, but more importantly, my odometer is reading good. That will be big in resale or trading it in down the road. All value can go out the window if they can prove its a TMU car (True mileage unknown), or at least the dealership I worked for used at as a tactic to pay lowball figures but I've only seen it a few times.

I downsized tires a few year ago, and was not able to reprogram my original unit. I paid company a $25 fee, sent it into them and had them reprogram. Got it back, it worked for 6 months to correct and then stopped working. Called company, of course no warranty. Checked speed with phone GPS, close enough. My Hypertech is now buried deep in a landfill somewhere.

If you try to program it when connected to the truck it will default the settings.

Here is my configuration: The actual stock tire size is 265/70r16. This always head the speedo about 2 mph under over what I was actually going. I ran 265/75r16 and the speedo matched up perfectly too gps. I first programmed the tuner with 265/70r16 and the speedo was displaying a speed 2 mph over the actual speed, so this time I am programming it with the 265/75r16 so the speed is once again accurate. I didn't program the gears. If I doo it drops the correction factor to .078, which is way off.

If none of the settings work, I would double check the wiring to make sure everything is secure.
