im almost 3 years into my honey-moon phase then, cause I park mine in just the right position so I can gaze at him from my recliner.

also, youll love the ome lift, that's pretty much the same setup I put on mine.

 

It was like Christmas today!

 

I finally installed my ToyTec ULK, LR UCAs, and Dakars today. I pulled the truck into the driveway at noon (got home @ 5am from my night shift). And it took me about 9 hours to do it, not including a run to the store to pick up a 32mm socket for the new ball joints & a meal break. It was all very easy, just a lot to do.



I still need to adjust the bilsteins another inch to get my full 3" of lift. It looks like I got a 2 1/2" lift from the Dakars.

My kit came with 3* axle shims, but they were wrong. The hole was too small for the center pins & the pins were too short anyway. So I skipped them.

This just not gonna work! EDIT: OZ educated me. These are supposed to bolt onto the springs with the center pin.

I took a test drive at various speeds and didn't notice any driveline vibes - I don't think. (I might have a tiny one around 38mph, but I'm not sure - time will tell).

I was impressed with the ride. I think it might be a little more comfortable than the stock Sport suspension. We'll see what happens after I level the front end tomorrow. I also took it over a few speed bumps and NO clunks. Bonus. Now for an alignment after the leveling.

I'm still waiting my Bora spacers. Then I can put on Duratrac 285/70-17s onto my stock wheels!

I also need to install my rear brake lines and my u-bolt flip kit. (I know I should have done it during today's install, but it was getting dark so I bagged it. It will be easy to install later anyway.)

 

Get used to it. I'm going on 4 years of my honeymoon phase. Hell, I was sitting on a camping stool in the garage last night at 4am brainstorming/staring at it.

I'm hoping to get my spacers the beginning of next week. Then I can get my tires. It looks a little goofy right now with small ones.

I haven't decided yet about the leafs. I'll probably sell them eventually.

 

I just got back from my honeymoon and couldn't wait to take my truck for a ride!! My wife thinks I'm an idiot! I'm always lookig at my truck. If I'm going in to a store or something I always turn around to check it out! Haha

Haha. They don't understand never will. Here's my lift results:

Front
coil-overs adjusted for 3" lift
Hub center - wheel well 23"

Rear
Dakar leafs gave about 2 1/2" lift
Hub center - wheel well 24 1/2"

Frame clearance measured on alignment rack @ cab & bed mounts
Front: 17"
Rear: 17 1/2"

This gives me 1/2" of rake based on the truck frame.
I might lower the front a little - I'll wait and see. I got a 3yr alignment package from Goodyear, so I can go in as often as I like.

Now I'm trying to decide if I want a truck box or a paneled tonneau cover. I'm also researching body armor. I wanted Famous Fab sliders, the guy isn't making armor anymore. Then I got interested in Relentless products, but they're having a major problem fulfilling orders. A lot of their customers are unhappy waiting. I know I don't want to wait 4 months! I would like to get something this month.

There is so much to do!

Thanks. There are a few examples here on TW where the trucks were lifted & modded, but still resembled a stock look. I was inspired and influenced by those.

 

I just remeasured the truck at work on the level shop floor where I took my baseline measurements.
I'm 3 1/2 - 3 3/4 lift in the front!!! I need to lower it a little. I'll do this on Sunday then get it realigned.

 

Damn... Thought it looked high! Haha I have 885x's and the 1/2" top plates so when I install them I should be around 3.25"... I'm worried about being a little nose high... I'm waiting to install my lift but it doesn't look that bad with stock wheels and tires.... I have 16" steelies though...

 

I'm pretty much level, just a little high in the rear. But I want a little rake.

What are you installing in the rear?

 

I want to do dakars eventually but putting in a 2" AAL.. Wheeler's said it should give me close to 3" with my 4 leaf pack... I would like some rake as well so i'm hoping they are right
