Ok i'll swing by after work tomorrow and pick up the drum and then I should be able to blast it and get it back to you by the end of the week. Yeah I made a special suit I use for the blaster because I get covered in sand if I dont use it. I also use mywelding hood with just the clear lens. But it was defiantly worth it. I'll text you tomorrow when i'm on my way to make sure your home.

You know... If you can put that drum in a bucket, you can use electrolysis to remove every molecule of rust in about 24 hours time using a few household items.

Very easy to do and fun, because science.

Lookin good. My drum was in similar condition too, I think you even commented on it. You're right, the synthetic traps moisture against the drum.

yep... it actually cleaned up just fine with a wire wheel. All I had was a wire wheel for a drill but there was a wire wheel on the bench grinder at work that made short work of it. It's not even pitted really.

Painting it up now. It might be mulitcolored just to get rid of some of the paint laying around in the garage :D

I have one... still in a box... I built the stand for it.... never got back to pulling it out of the box. I always loved my dad's in his garage. I need to get that done.

    1473988807953-913851023.jpg

Not sure yet what I'll do about the paint.
Maybe bedliner or maybe just the same flat black rustoleum I use on all my armor.

Also strongly considering the TC bedside stiffeners as I'm pretty sure bed flex is the cause of this gap.
