Mildly entertaining, but I didn't get a whole lot of pics.

So this is not really a mod to the truck per se, but I bought it for airing down and back up on the trails so......... yeah

Got this kit to connect all 4 tires so they can all be deflated and inflated at the same time to the exact same pressures.

    20141210_162655_ef0fe746fb12528dc8ea8b4e604cdc751cee2a3b.jpg

Works well, it's quick and easy to connect everything. Definitely speeds up deflation time although that wasn't a huge deal anyway.
I bet it shaves a bit off of inflation time as well, but the biggest benefit in my mind is that the inflation process happens completely unattended.
Once everything is hooked up, (takes less than a minute) I'm free to wander around, BS, make fun of Brett's truck, pee in the bushes or whatever without having to constantly check to see if the tire I'm filling is done and it's time to go on to the next one.

Only thing I'm bummed about is the length of the hose between the middle two tires and the connection point. When I ordered the kit and gave my wheelbase information, It was suggested that I get an additional foot of hose between the wheels on each side. As you can see from the pics, that hose is plenty long enough but the hoses that connect each side to the 4way block are too short for me to put it up on my tailgate. It still works just fine, but I have to run the hoses underneath the tailgate.
If I were filling from the front of the truck with an on-board compressor under the hood the hose length would be fine but I've been using a pancake compressor plugged into the outlet in the bed. At some point, I'll probably get longer hoses for it.

This is something I've thought about doing for a while myself but after trying to source all the parts, I decided that it really wouldn't cost much more to just buy it all put together.

Ok that's cool. We will have to test it with CO2 and see how fast it really is. :D

We all know you're just jealous of the old man tan. It would suit you so well! It's really unfortunate they stopped making the 2nd gens in that color...

Something tells me it's not color of the truck he is making fun of but more of the contents of the truck...primarily the driver. :D

So now I've got both Gramps (Eric), and Eric (older than Gramps), giving me a hard time?

You could bust my chops and then follow it with this smiley: :D I understand that makes everything OK.

I do have a serious question though Eric:

Looking at your airing up thingy, I'm confused by that 4 way fitting. You've got the on/off valve connected to the a quick coupler to go to the compressor, which doesn't seem necessary. And opposite it, is that just an open barb to deflate from? It would seem that would need the valve in order to deflate them, and then close it to air back up.

Opposite the valve is a shraeder valve. I use it for checking pressure with a regular gauge.

Valve at coupler lets me deflate quickly through the open male quick connect. It also allows me to check the pressure when inflating without disconnecting the compressor. You won't get an accurate reading if the running compressor is hooked up and the valve is open so you just shut the valve off to check.
You, of course, also want to have the valve off when you disconnect the compressor to avoid flattening your newly reinflated tires.

    Make sense?

Yeah, I just couldn't tell it was a shraeder valve, makes sense now
