I’m a newbie

Howdy, name is Ron. I currently own a 2017 Tacoma TRD 4x4 Off Road, short bed crew cab. Before this, I owned a 2013 TRD Sport 2x2. I loved that truck but a red light runner wiped it out. I was only slightly injured, and have fully recovered but my Taco didn’t survive. However, the upside is I now have the 4x4 and love it even more.

Wife and I are retired and are thinking of buying a travel trailer to pull with the Taco so I plan to read thru this forum to learn what others have to say about trailering. I welcome all comments on the subject.

Just want to say thanks to you all for welcoming me to TW. I’m still learning how to navigate this site and just now found my way back to this thread.

so, and update since my first post.......
We are in the process of purchasing a Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2109S, brand new, from a dealership 732 miles from home. I’ve ordered a brake controller that I will install this weekend and I’ve talked the dealer into throwing in a WD anti sway hitch. We should know later today if the deal is a go and fingers crossed, we should be leaving here next Monday morning heading north on I-25 for 10-12 hours to get our TT.
