I’m an idiot, cranked the truck while it was running.

Probably the worst that could happen is that you break a few teeth off the edge of the flywheel. If those broken teeth are exactly opposite the starter gear, you might have trouble starting.

I've done it on a few customers cars before. It don't think it broke anything so you should be okay

I’ve done this many times, fortunately it’s a push to start so I just turn off the truck

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
That wouldn't have happened if you had a Pro grille and a 4" lift on it.

This thread makes me want to trade in my 2020 AT for an MT. I miss cranking the truck after it was already running. Used to do this to my Mazda 626 back in college all the time.

Every single one of us has done this at some time. More than once. Has never been a prob on any rig I've ever owned. (Just don't make a habit out of it.. lol!)

Yes, its made by N2 designs and the owner is an active member on the forum. Besides my stupidity, its a a great product, easy to install and an owner that actually cares about his customers being satisfied.

Pro tip: Before you ever turn that key, make it habit to look at the RPM gage. If RPMs are above 0, no need to turn that key.

Its happened to me a few times on an older car. I wouldn't make a habit of it but she still runs and starts fine after 140K miles.

I'm 100% deaf in one ear. About 10% in the other. I can't always hear the engine running and have done the same a couple of times.

That makes sense that it would allow you to start it while running. It sounds to me like it is fully on with that remote start and that someone could hop in and go for a ride. Not bashing it, just something to be aware of.

As soon as you tap the brake it shuts off if there is no key in the on position to prevent that.

Wouldn't worry about it. I'd assume it's happened to almost everyone here at least once sometime in their life.
