For sure! I have an iPhone 12 and only like an 1/8” is covering the vent. Doesn’t have any effect on airflow or anything. I agree though; blocking the vent is a horrible choice. :)

Looking at doing an instal for a sub and amp also, was yours pretty easy to instal? Any tips and reccomendations on the instal or sound quality of that combo? Were you pleased with the overall result?

Found this video for doing the wiring and instal and Id imagine this is what you did also?

That’s the general idea I followed except my setup was different bc I had factory JBL. Overall I was not impressed with the stock JBL bass. It was “ok” while not moving but as soon as the truck was in motion the road noise drowned out the bass. There’s also factory related things in the amp that keep the bass from unceasing once the volume goes to a certain point (I don’t know the terminology or specifics on it...I just wasn’t pleased).

When I did my install I swapped out the door and dash speakers as well. Kicker KS components up front and kicker KS in the rear. The sub I used was an 8” Kicker CompRT. Amp is a Kicker CS 660.5. Since I was wanting to do away with the factory JBL amp I used the Rockford Fosgate DSR1 which acts like the stock amp (typing everything together) but also includes a DSP. Then the Marstro ATO3 harness to keep every plug and play.

I like to try and keep things as plug and play as possible and this set up allowed for that. Only additional thing I had to do was run power to the battery and ground into the chassis.
I also put sound deadening on the doors when I was replacing the speakers, and along the back wall. This helps out greatly and I would definitely recommend it if you’re doing anything aftermarket stereo related.

Other than that, I had my sub box and amp rack made by MrMarv (if you search the forum you’ll get a ton of results and his contact info). You tell him the setup you’re using and he builds the box in spec for your sub.

Overall I’m happy with it. If the bass was about 10% more it would be excellent. But, it’s still 10 times better than the stock. I only out an 8” in and it’s only got 300 watts going to it; I knew I wasn’t going to blow any windows out so I was not really “under impressed” or disappointed. With that said, it’s perfectly fine for what I wanted to accomplish.

Add a catback exhaust. No real performance gains but it’s plug and play and only requires minimal mechanical know-how and a little elbow grease. Like I said, there are no real performance gains, but it’ll sound like it!

What did you use for the TSS logo tint? I love the look of the black grill with the tinted emblem!
Also what raptor lights and harness did you get?[/QUOTE]

Had to sell my 17 Tacoma for a tow rig in order to pull my new home. Still here for a bit to keep in touch.
Decked bed drawer system. I love mine!

question about the decked system. Does it improve the ride quality since there is more "stable" weight in the back of the truck?

It weights 250 pounds empty. So it would defiantly help keep the rear end down. Loaded up with gear it will sag the rear end. I added a Helwig helper spring. But I run fully stocked all the time and hated the saggy bro lean.
