Your mileage is definitely not the norm, I average 16-17mpg with mixed driving, and have never gotten more than 21mpg on the highway, down hill and with the wind, lol!

I wanted to buy a Tesla instead of this truck but I live down a 4 mile dirt road that is seldom maintained and turns to mud every spring. And I need to haul stuff. WRX was perfect for the road, not so much for the hauling stuff part.

Hey try adding 700 pounds of 33s, stage 4 suspension , front and rear steel bumper w/ winch, full steel skid package, and diamondback HD and getting 12mpg. I would kill for 15

Diamondback looks so nice and useful but I don’t think I’ll use it enough or keep this 3rd Gen Tacoma long enough to justify it. Like I heard people can have crazy heavy stuff on it. I imagined a future where I’ll haul a folding table and chairs inside to a scenic place. Spread it open on top of a Diamondback and eat dinner watching the sunset LOL

Are you leasing or just purchasing these? 3 in 5-6 years. I considered leasing but math showed it made no sense to lease for me.

Sounds horrible! There was a recent Toyota lease deal for $209/month with $999 down but after taxes it went to $294.. but this was like nothing on the truck. Loaded Sport or Limited was going $500-550/mo with $3k down. Nuts.

I cant imagine the guys running 35s that do mostly city. They'll net 10mpg.

I'm not even 12mpg after 100 city miles from installing 34s. The odometer is off a little, so maybe 13mpg at best. That's 58 lb tires

No purchase out right felt I got an ok deal going for the 19 and a great deal on the 21 both times they came to me. All were paid off when I walked out the door. Or 4 months of payments. So far this one feels like a keeper.

I averaged 25.3 MPG today on a 25 mile commute to work. (80% highway). Keep in mind, I literally feather my truck. It’s just how I drive. That isn’t the norm, but I suspect it mainly has to do with the weather warming up.
