While driving around in my new Taco, I see other trucks in the same class. My first thought is “Mine is nicer.” If it’s another Taco, I’ll look to see if it has some cool accessories. So if it ain’t a Taco, mine is nicer. I’ve become a Taco snob. No offense to all You Frontier, F 150 and RAM truckers out there. I’m sure I’ll get over it in time..

    Still stock completely capable!
Totally agree Fu#k other trucks! Lol jk but I do LOVE the look of the 3rd Gen Tacoma. There are 4 4x4 that catch my eye every time
    1) Tacoma’s
    2) 4Runner
    3) Toyota FJ(probably the most because they are fugly stock but mint with tires and a lift)
    4) Raptor
The rest of trucks I’ll admire if they are custom but the Tacoma’s I’ll enjoy stock.

It's important to recognize one's vanities, we're not better people because we have Tacomas. Just smarter and better looking:thumbsup:

I'm guilty. My next-door neighbor has had a friend over for the last week, who drives a Frontier. It's probably the TRD OR equivalent for a Frontier - Nismo? (I'm not familiar with Frontier trim levels). Whatever the case, my thought process always gravitates to "Mine's nicer"

Can’t lie. I see Colorado’s, Frontiers, Ranger, and all I can think is mine will run 3x the miles those will without a hiccup. And I like Taco’s classic interior much better. Even the dolled up ones with huge screens....I much prefer the Tacoma’s simple functionality.

Haha my neighbor just bought a clone of my truck, but as a Colorado. It just looks inferior in every way. I wonder if he feels the reverse? Dirty Chevy.

I’ve been a Tacoma owner less than a week and I’m already guilty of this.

I’ve even caught myself doing it with other Tacoma’s I’ve seen. I saw a white Tacoma yesterday and thought, “Mine looks nicer”.

A friend of mine has a 2019 Ram 1500. We went to dinner with them a couple of weeks ago and took his truck. After getting my truck, my wife commented that the interior quality of the materials in his truck seemed cheap in comparison.

I’m a car and truck guy. So I check everything out. While I do love mine I will always gawk at other cars/trucks and admire. Unless it’s a Ridgeline. Then I just feel bad for the owner. :anonymous:

I confess. I do the same. But, I did the same with all the cars and bikes that I bought before this. Just the mental floss of purchase justification.

The real thing though is that we hang on to stuff for 10yrs or more. When we are done with them is only when they are done with us. I am content with the Taco, but I will say that they look better with lifts. I just can't go there because I like having fun with this thing in corners.

Edit: In its day, I still feel that our 1996 Dodge Stratus was the best handling domestic four-door. It had great grip, balance, and control in hard cornering and the few emergency maneuvers that I had. Not much else was good in that car, but it could corner.

A friend has a brand new King Ranch. When he put the key in, the seat and steering wheel adjust automatically.
It's pretty sweet. Gotta say, I'm a little jealous.

We had a memory drivers seat in our old volvo wagon and saab convertible. The volvo would remember side mirror settings and was also linked to the individual remotes. Sadly, the remote function was buggy. With those cars, we would often switch / share, so it was a nice feature.

Now with the (boring to me) Forester and the Taco, we keep to our own. So, manual settings generally work as set it and forget it. The power height adjustments on the 2020 will really help a lot of folks though. I'm using 1.5in rear spaces on the passenger seat to keep my wife comfortable.

I did see that the rear door windows roll down in F150 extended cabs. I am jealous about that.

Pretty sweet til you try to drive your sister's truck who is shorter than you and the seat squishes you into the steering wheel when you start the truck.
