As an incentive to pre-order the vehicle. Selling a truck before it hits the lot saves a dealer a lot of time and a bit of money.

I have visited 2 dealers here in SoCal and they don't have a clue or won't tell you when they will have some trucks let alone pre-order.

One was actually kinda rude, Garden Grove Toyota. Guess they have plenty of customers, just not this one.

I'll wait a few years as they haven't even worked out the kinks on the Second Gen Tacoma from the release in 2005. Hopefully they will address issues faster on these models, and there will be some.

Fuck that, I'm going to pay 15% over MSRP and take whatever model/color is available as soon as it hits the lot, even if it's not what I want.

Yeah but only in automatic with the DCLB. I'm thinking they'll sell quite a few of them and Toyota will say.... wow, why didn't we make this years ago.

    Srsly?
Because he is talking about it on the Internet. Because he will tell his friends. Because it makes the salesman look good because he presold a truck that has no specs or other information. Because they have 1000 free dollars to put into paying the points on 90 day cars sitting on the lot

I hope you got a clear contract with that deposit you gave them. Different states allow different things with 'deposits'

The sand color ain't so bad in daylight. Those florescent show room lights made it look horrible imo. I think it looks better in this picture

I have a $500 deposit done and the deal I have made is. I can drive it and decide on the price and I am not happy I can get my deposit back and walk away from the deal. The dealer will have no problem selling the Truck.
