Yeah, that color is awesome. It has been long time since Toyota offered tan on their trucks.

Toss on some old skool stripes, betcha it would look pretty rad...

They got rid of Pyrite Mica (which I call brownie lol) for Sandstorm?! Depressing and vomit inducing :\

And yet they still have the regular silver color? Nobody seems to want that. We've got loads sitting around here.

And on another note, looks like there's going to be a surge of trail limos with the new addition of the DCLB Offroad! :D

I bet for a quick mod, if you just blackout the grill and stock rims or get new black rims it will look really nice. :)

Edit\ @Ice Horse, don't laugh if you see me on some wood trails with a chainsaw strapped to the roof rack for clearing turnaround lanes. :D

I'm sure in Canada if you preorder they will increase the price by $1000 over msrp

Sounds like a good deal. Wishing you both the best. But, I'd also want in writing that it's $1,000 off MSRP *and* NO dealer added bullshit like $600 paint and fabric protection, $800 tinted windows, $300 window etching, $150 wheel locks, $290 TRD mud flaps, etc... Otherwise they'll find that $1,000 "discount" back in their own pockets right quick...

And for the love of Gaia, DO NOT stick any dealer emblems on the tailgate! ;-)

I love how people feel the need to advise the OP on how to make a purchase, presuming he's some sort of dipshit. Guy new what he wanted, is financialy able to make it happen and went about his business. No reason to think he's any less able to make a good purchase than anyone else. He's already getting it cheaper than MSRP before any are on the lot.

it really doesn't matter what the person pays. if they are happy with the outcome, that's all that matters. some will get better/worse deals. our 12 Tacoma, it wasn't the greatest deal but the warden was happy and could live with the outcome. she has been happy the past 3 years with the whole situation and that makes my life easier.

To the OP, is this is an actual order or a allocation dealer trade?
My dealer has a allocation vehicle and they're willing to do the allocation trade if what I want can be found.
SR Trim level, 2WD, Access Cab with 2.7/Auto
    Green Ext./Gray Int.
    Utility package
Hopefully Cruise and Int. wipers will be available this time around. W/O lit. or details to go buy this is a bit of a coin toss though.

Pretty much a bare bones Tacoma so I don't have high hopes in finding one. We'll see as I just e-mailed my details to the dealer.

Curious what dealership in Denver? The one I went to was oblivious to any information regarding the 2016. All I got was Oct 6th... that is when info will be given.

Sandstorm wouldn't be my choice but it's a cool throwback to old Toyotas. Kind of like my Dad's FJ40

I've been reading forums for awhile but first time posting. Hi everybody! I ALSO just ordered my 2016 tacoma today from a dealership in columbus Ohio. I told them about people on the forums here getting 1k off MSRP price which i was also quoted and got put in writing. They did not have the MSRP officially yet for me. I needed to put $500 down. What i ordered was TRD sport DCSB 4x4 with every option possible. I ordered a Manual and they said they would see if they were able to get the JBL option on it but were unable to officially build it yet. They seemed confident they could though. I also got a picture for you of the color options on the sheet that the dealer gave me. Should help with some of the questions on here. I did go to another one and they couldn't help yet or order one. This one told me though they were getting allocated 20 trucks in the first month they were out which seemed to be a lot but possible.

I see some inconsistencies with that pic.

    1. shows the new blue color but the footnotes shows blue ribbon which is the 2013-2015 blue color.
    2. interior colors show 4 different colors, but the footnotes only shows 2 that are not even on the list.
    3. option codes don't even look right like except for the Limited (FE, TC)

what I would like to see is a screenshot of the internal toyota dealer allocation website page. it looks about the same as that printout but slightly different.

Sofar, none of the old pics of sandstorm ever was joined to flat black? Chrome seemed to be the thing trying to grasp colors adjusted to chrome? Any pics of sandstorm combined with flat black back in the days?
