It’s normal to ask those questions and FD will always ask it as well so they know how to treat it.

No sword. I did consider it, but I fly frequently and didn’t want TSA trouble.

72,000 Americans overdosed to the point of death last year. How many millions more were hospitalized?

Eliminating the easy shit first seems logical.

Glad to hear youre back home and on the way to recovery. I heard the officers mention a vape and what they said about people getting messed up on them. I literally heard that on NPR yesterday at work. One person has died from a mysterious lung disease linking to vaping. Lots of others have been hospitalized due to vaping, i havent read the rest of the thread but might have been contributing to your episode? Godspeed on recovery man, i never wish this type upon anyone.

I was gonna say "You ain't from Seattle/West coast are you?" Not to make fun of anything, but more to say how damned rampant drug abuse is.

I had seen that news story while in the hospital. While I can't rule out my vape, I can say I haven't used it in 10 days and have no desire to. I was a pack a day smoker for 20 years. I switched to juul 2 years ago, then switched to normal vape. It was a too to get me off smoking and while it's taken 2 years, I think it's finally over.

That's a reasonable question to ask, it can guide the direction of medical treatment. Many cops carry naloxone these days which can reverse the effects of a heroin overdose for instance.

Glad to hear that. I use to smoke a pack a day for a few years, not 20 like you. What had helped me was tea tree toothpicks and cinnamon toothpicks. They not only break the habit, but give you fresh breath!

Hope you have a full recovery.

I know someone who had numbness in the hands and legs for years. The doctors thought it was a disk issue in the neck. Had surgery and it didn't do much to help. One day he collapsed and couldn't move. After many tests he was diagnosed with MS. MS attacks the nerves. If the West Nile comes up blank, it is something the doctors should look for.

    Godspeed man, terrifying story.
Wow, makes you think about that car on the shoulder with a person in it, thinking they’re just on the phone looking for directions.....
