So due to circumsatances beyond my control, namly my lack of intelligence I will need a new front bumper. Long story short I was backing out of a space trying to leave as much room for a mother to get her kids out of their minivan and in doing so I caught the back end of the car next to me with the front corner of my bumper. The bumper is scraped up and will at least need to be repainted but I am thinking I may buy a new bumper. I have a 2010 Tacoma Double cab TRD Sport. Any ideas what I should get?

Paint it rattle can black, or bed liner..or just wait till the next time you scratch it up. The first scratch is the worst!!

Oh, is it just a small scratch?

With the RF bumper your truck would have been fine, but the car would have been toast...

Take it to a shop, man. That's very much fixable, and bumpers are pretty quick to remove, fix, and paint. You'll have it back in a couple days. Much cheaper than buying new. Unless you're in the market for something new, and badass, like a relentless.

Looks like the bumper cap is not dented, just scuffed up. Get it to a paint shop to be repainted, or Line-X it.

A collision shop manager once told me that parts come from the factory primed only, and it's up to the paint shop to do colormatching. The idea being the paint on your vehicle weathers over time, so a new prepainted part will look different, even if it's the same paint code. Assuming he's right (someone please correct me if wrong), then there's no difference between getting a new bumper cap and repainting the existing one.

I'd go for an All Pro, Relentless, ARB, CBI Fab, or ARB before I went back to stock.
