I am looking into having my old trucks undercoating freshened up from age and the paint looking better again, surface scratches etc removed

i have asked around the 1st gen section but for the most part nobody in there really gives a care to weather proofing there truck (professionally), most likely because they are in areas that do not see any harsh and brutal winters at times

    What Is Ming?
Ming is neither a wax nor a coating. In fact, MING is more a process than a finish. The MING process enhances a vehicle’s painted finish by smoothing out its pits and valleys (sometimes called “pores”) where dirt, grime and pollutants collect. In a conventional treatment, waxes or polishes are rubbed or buffed into these pores to cover the paint. The shine comes from the ingredients of the wax or coating. With MING, the shine you see is the reflection of the actual paint surface, not wax or another coating.

Along with smoothing out the pits and valleys , the MING process toughens and hardens the paint making it resistant to the detrimental effects of the environment. The only upkeep necessary is a gentle, weekly washing. You will not need to wax or polish your vehicle for up to 3 years with proper care. The MING treatment will last to around 5 years

    The MING Process
    [IMG]

    STEP 1 – REMOVE CONTAMINANTS
The rough porous surface allows dirt and grime to collect deep into the paint. The first step of the MING process is removing the surface contaminants with a clay bar and polish.

STEP 2 – OPEN THE PORES
MING’s special process uses proprietary compounds and equipment to open the paint’s pores and completely level the finish. This removes the majority of the most common paint imperfections, like minor scratches, hard waters spots, swirl marks and oxidation. This step restores the vehicle’s mirror-like finish.

STEP 3 – SMOOTHING IT OVER
Using our signature polishing process in concert with our proprietary paint protection and hardening compound, the open pores are sealed and an additional clear, hardened layer is added onto the finish. With scratches removed, pores filled and the surface perfectly flat, the mirror-like finish is restored and protected.

Guaranteed to last for 3 years!

Are you asking if we’ve had experience with it or are you endorsing it? The formatting of your post feels like the latter.

Just looks like a detail job. Clay, cut, polish, seal.

Sound's like something Rachel would get at a spa when getting her eyebrows micro-bladed.

just asking if anybody has had their newish truck done or undercoated through them, unless 3rd gen trucks come from the factory already undercoated, etc. (i don't really know!)

, it doesn't look like this Ming company product is a nationwide thing, i am researching one locally to see what my truck needs to keep it nice in its old mid west age

i have asked around the 1st gen section on TW but nobody in there really gives a flying fuck, to put it nicely

how can i word the title better so it doesn't sound like endorsing it?

I cannot seem to find any details on what they do for undercoating the bed, cab and wheel wells

the guy at the local shop told me they also coat the frame and suspension but I told them my research indicates that is a big NoNo!
he wanted me to come back and speak with the owner of the shop about what my truck needs and the variety of packages they offer

Looks like pure marketing to me.

Exclusive Auto Beauty Center Nanoize Polymer is a fancy name for nothing.

Save your money on this one.

Just a gen2 TRD shift knob so far. Anxiously awaiting ovTune 1.05 with handheld tuner!
Had Ming Shine applied to my old '08 Wrangler when new. The shine certainly held up. I sold it 6yrs later with just over 200k and the paint still looked fantastic. I'd loke to get it for my Taco and canopy.
