    I have no clue.
of wasps. I mean if I see one I freak out and run looking for the wasp spray. Anyone know of any cures? Geez. We just moved outside of town, and it seems that there are wasps EVERYWHERE! Please note, I grew up outside of town. It has gotten worse in the last few years. Next spring I have some surprises for them. Kinda funny, you tell me there is a guy with a gun shooting people, I am there! You tell me there is a wasp stinging people, oh hell no! I am outta here!

    What are you afraid of?

I am a cop, assigned to traffic safety. I wish I could say that and get away from it. But, no such luck.

You're not alone dude. I scream like a girl and start waving my arms.

Blood. No problem. Guts. Easy. Vomit, shit or pee? Would rather not, but I can do it.

Wasps? Fuck no. And I'm not allergic. But they terrify me regardless.

And these fuckers are my ultimate nightmare.

Wasps, yellow jackets, and hornets will make me vacate the area post haste. They didn't really bother me all that much till the last time I got stung by a yellow jacket...my forearm swelled up to basket ball size. Carry Epipen with at all times now spring through fall.

Honestly I have never really been afraid of anything. I work with snakes and have been bitten many times. I not worked with spiders but I think they are cool. I have been stung many many times by bees, wasps and yellow jackets and I dont really care. I was mowing or chainsawing each time so they freaked out.

Yall need to kiss my ass. It's an irrational fear. I know they really can't do any damage to me, but they still freak me the fuck out.

We used to make cheap traps out of jars with sticky, sweet stuff in them (eg cider, honey, jam, apple juice, sugar etc). Fill the jar about 1/3 way with the mixture, put the lid on and make some small holes in it (the size of a dime). The wasps will be attracted to the smell, go in there, land and get stuck.

Easy way to deal with wasps is to hit them with soapy water. They won't be able to fly when you get them and then they're easy to crush.

Edit: petersharp's idea works with soapy water instead of sticky stuff, too. Used to make traps out of plastic milk jugs.

Up here, I have quite a few of these huge black wasps called Cicada Killers, about 1.5"-2" or so long. They're not aggressive, and solitary, but it's still intimidating to have a curious one fly at you. Plus, the little bastards keep damaging my front lawn when they dig their way out of their underground lairs.

Wasps don't bother me at all. They're wasps! Don't mess with them and they won't sting you, it's not rocket science.
