Well done! Great story - success makes it worth the hassle!

With an MT; who cares what the color is! (I'd happily drive a Poo brown MT over any other color in an Auto!)

Nice truck and welcome, I like the less common colors too.

I wonder if they sell more grayscale vehicles because folks want them, or is that all they can find...

I found the perfect image for you to use in situations just like this, my good sir.

I think the color is butt ugly by itself, but on the Tacoma with the body lines and black out trim it just looks badass... I love it!!!!

If the badging is chrome, I would personally black that out also...

There is one in my area and it is one of a kind around here lol. Love the color reminds of the 60-70 Mopar colors that were pretty popular. Drive it with pride and ignore those AH as they are jealous.

Love that pro! Wish I could have found one.

Great point. That was definitely a thought to me. We have a lot of inattentive drivers around here. I do my best not to sit in people’s blind spots, but that doesn’t help when they don’t pay attention.

Haha, yeah it was a bit long winded. I felt like I had a lot I wanted to say based on how it played out, but I didn’t really care much if people read it all.

Manual definitely was the top of the list. I think brown actually could have looked cool outside of the new mud bath and old taliban tan.

From what I understand the muted colors are usually easier to sell. Producing more cars the same way is cheaper. People can tolerate a white, grey, silver or black car across the board.

I do want to snag up some black overlays for the badging. I normally don’t like the whole black out look, but the chrome kind of clashes with the color.

The colour looked so good in media, then in person? Nope.

It's unique and I still prefer it to any red. Red forever will be my least favourite truck colour.

If not already, some black tailgate inserts will make it pop also, really helped mine out a lot...

I can smell the Yaris/Echo from here.

I had a hatchback for a while, totally practical mini car.

Guy by me has one in that color, I like it. I'd maybe even seek one out if I needed a new truck. That color in a manual must be a real unicorn, good find.

Hopefully the industry can rebound. It seems like some of the EV market is bringing character back to cars, as I imagine they want to stand out for free advertising attention. My buddy’s dad just got a VW ID.Buzz in a similar color.

It really needs a nice sunny day to bring out the good in it. It’s kind of mediocre when it’s overcast. I usually don’t like red, but Solar Octane set a bar pretty high. Unfortunately red is most susceptible to UV damage out of all the colors, which is why you see a lot of paint issues with red cars as they age.

Ah yes, this too! Great idea.

Dude, it’s an awesome car for sure. I was getting 40+ mpg pretty consistently in it. Only downside was how top heavy and narrow it is, so any time there were strong gusts on the highway I would get blown into the other lane on occasion. I was going to keep it but I think I’m going to sell it.

Oh sweet! That pops out real nice.

    Thanks!

Alright, definitely think I finally figured out the “minor damage” and I’m not upset about it at all. If anything I feel relieved if this is the closure that justifies it popping up in the carfax.

I was gazing at the truck today and it finally popped out to me when I saw some broken plastic around the fender liner bolts. Went back to the dealer video and saw it missing there too. Did some exploring and found a nice ding and scrape to the predator step. Nothing else looks damaged or replaced and everything else looks super solid. Looks like my local dealer has the mud flap in stock for $40. I can live with the predator step. Previous owner must have drove over something but nothing else looks damaged or replaced. Easy day.
