Got a 2008 Tacoma a few months ago - LOVE it ... came with the stock steel rims, switched them for the stock 17" rims ... now I find out the TPMS has to be re-calibrated at the dealer for a few $ ... oh boy! Otherwise I love the truck - had a 2.2 Toyota truck extended cab/box for 17 years (since) new before this one with 300,000 KM - first clutch at 250,000 ... that's why I bought this one!

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Welcome to the site. You might want to check your local tire shop for the TMPS. I know most of the ones I have talked to can do the work.

Hi Buddy, welcome to TW and enjoy your new tacoma. Second getting the tpms checked elsewhere, the dealer is expensive on them tire sensors.

Thanks - I'll be paying a visit to the shop that switched them for me - good guy - Big O Tire - will ask why they didn't attend to this at the time they installed them. I'll be sure to check back here from time to time - seems like a lot of info on line about something I will be driving a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time!
