I am thankful the 3G Tacoma takes no styling cues from Lexus

I think the current design theme at Lexus, and even Toyota a little over the top. Having said that I'd take a Lexus RC F track edition, over the new Supra.

    Wife has a new 2019 GX460 and loves it - traded in a 2016 4Runner Limited.

Nicer ride and drive than the 4Runner for sure and the V8 adds some needed pep.

That said, I make it a point not to look at the front any more than I have to.

Turn the light out it's all the same. Is she a hard worker? Can she cook and clean?

I like it. Torn between this sedan and an Audi S4. And yes the SUV leaves a lot to be desired looks-wise.

You know an aftermarket bumper can fix that.

This is for cooling in future electric cars. Your eyes will get used to it. Hang in there.

It's hideous. Lexus and Toyota can't style their way out of a paper bag. The only thing that saves the Tacoma is Toyota being extremely conservative when it comes to the Taco and Tundra. I'd buy a 4-runner, but I wouln't be crazy about it. And we'll likely still get an NX or RX for the wife when the time, comes, again, not happy about it. That massive grille on the Camry? Hideous. Avalon? Worse.

Toyota needs to hire a Mazda or Audi or even Hyundai/Kia stylist and call it a day. Hell I think Buicks and Chevys look better at this point.

Mazda has been making the best looking basic cars for a few years now. It would be cool if the re-entered the truck market.

I have a Mazda 6 (6 speed!) that I'm happy with. Only reason I bought it (my first Mazda) was the availability of the stick, which was on the lot in '15 (2016 model). Now that they've removed it, and severely limited it in the 3, I'll likely get a Camry when the 6 wears out--but it only has 85k miles and is perfect. We'll see how long the 4cyl GDI engine holds out. The car is my 100+ mile per day commuter (the Taco is my utility/weekender).

Having said all that, I've really liked the styling of most all the Mazda products lately, and they keep refining all of them and their interiors. The new Mazda 3 sedan is definitely best looking in class to me.

They probably will, since their trucks in the past have been re-badged Ford Rangers.

They may re-up with Ford again, but for now there is no relationship.

I'd say it's more likely they'd do something with Toyota. They build engines with and supply cars to (Mazda 2/Yaris) Toyota now so that would be more likely.
