I am thinking about a leveling kit.

    Hey. I am thinking about putting a 1" leveling kit on my 96 tacoma. how had are they to put on, is it worth it to put one on, what kind should i get? thank you.

    you should just get some ome coils, not much more $$$ but will improve the ride much more. with a "levelling kit" it's just a spacer ontop of the coil. install is simple, take off the 3 upper bolts and top plate, compress the coil (you need a very dangerous tool for doing this) put the spacer on and then the top plate goes back on over top, put the shock back in an your done.
    but it's gona give a stiff ride, sag the springs and prob give you some "taco lean" after some time.
    look into the adjustable bilstein 5100's with some ome coils. can go up to 2.5'' and will IMPROVE ride over stock.

    here is the wheelers.com website, best place to buy from. these are for the 881 coils and these are the front coils.

    I have the 881's on my truck. I love the ride and height it gave me. It did not level my truck though. It made it about 1 1/4" higher in the front. I bought the Toytec 1" lift shackle, it leveled it perfectly.

    I don't have any pictures with my new suspension to show you but it looks great.
