Have you tried asking for another service mgr other than the one you have now? My initial contact wasn't that great and another local poster here on TW recommended another guy which was great advice. And getting the tsb takes a little bit of time and patience...

i dont know why people are so dependant on the dealerships, i could give a shit less if their service is good or not, learn how to work on it yourself

The loss you would take on trading/selling the Tacoma is going to be far greater than going out and buying an AAL, or a completely new set of leaves from OME or Deaver. I bet you could even pay someone to install said new leaves and still come out ahead. And, you'd wind up with an even better suspension than the TSB one.

It just doesn't make financial sense for your situation, and that is regardless of owning the truck, or making payments on it.

Toyota customer service is a joke. This is the reason I will never buy a Toyota again. And, you can forget about contacting coporate. You just get a machine that says "Due to the massive influx of calls, at this time we will not be able to take your call. Please try again later", or something of that sort. I love my truck, and I believe it's a good truck, but when something goes wrong(that I'm not capable of fixing), they're not there to help.

Go to a different dealer! The one I bought my truck from pretended they had never heard of a "TSB". I went to a different dealer and "No Problemo".

My dealer did the TSB for the leaf's and the steering shaft while offering a blowjob too. I passed but did get an suv for a day while they worked on my truck. They were amazingly cooperative and willing the first time i went in. I am completely satisfied and happy with my new springs. I am not sure 2011 needs them, mine did not really but I sweetalked the rep a bit. That policy works well for me. If I get no help then I bitch out loud and call the factory. Chevy will eat ball joints and tie rod ends every year of it's life. They are really not as good.

same here, my dealer kept trying to tell me that it was fixed on the 09's (this was before the tsb came to include the 09s)...even when him and i jumped on the back and were able to hit the bump stops, he still refused and didnt know what i was talking about...the day that the 09s were included, i printed the tsb out, walked up to him, didnt say anything, showed him the paperwork and he put in the order for the leaf pack...

its def not an easy process...you sometimes have to be a dick, and no the service rep doesnt know a god damn thing about the vehicles either...my service rep was the manager too..probably took me about 4-5 trips...he probably gave it to me just to shut me up...be annoying..

i just think that if the truck says it can tow 6500 lbs, it better damn beable to tow 6500lbs right off the lot, not after coming back and haggling with mfers..

i partially agree with the OP, yea its a pain in ass with the dealers, but shit, they are all the same, chevy is 10x worse than toyota and i know this because our GV is a chevy...took them 4 days to replace the A/C blower motor...toyota took 30 mins on my truck

but dont trade in such a great truck because you dont know how to be annoying enough..

I went to my dealer, got an offer for a blowjob, rear leaf TSB, steering shaft TSB, a free 4x4 suv for a day, And a coffee. It was my first try there. I usually sweet talk the rep a little and try to get them to feel bad for ya. If that fails, I bitch out loud and call the factory. My dealer made the whole experience a breeze. I heard to many horror stories about GM and FORD.
